Shakti deserved better today

i felt her comments were unduly harsh .... i agree she did contemporary again but putting that aside her act was amazing ... i loved her expressions and the cage bit was just too good .... when remo said - you did nothing, the cage did everythng; that i felt was uncalled for.

I completely agree! Barring the fact that it was contemporary again, I actually think it was a very beautiful performance, and done very well. Remo's comment about the cage doing everything and Shakti doing nothing basially put down her performance and effort gone into it completely. At least, Geeta while saying the same thing as Remo, put it more nicely and pointed the things she liked very much...

I feel Remo was being very unfair today. Yes, Shakti did contemporary again and she should explore more styles, but maneuvering a cage and doing a split inside it is not easy! What does he mean the cage did all the work? Shakti's performance was amazing. Her expressions were out of this world. I would like to see her do something new as well and I'm sure Terrence will come up with something mindblowing for her and wow us.

Yea, I have full faith in Terence. Now, he definately won't have Shakti do contemporary next time. And I'm even more positive that she'll be wonderful in it.

Judges' comments were edited for US viewers. I watched the whole show on daily motion and it was uncut. But when i watched the show again on TV, i realized they had chopped off so many things. The little remarks contestants made for each other during rehearsals were absent. I wish they don't do that cos i would love to watch how they all are so close to one another like a big family or something. 😔
Anyways, the comment where Geeta defends Dharmesh's performance was also not shown. What do you guys think about that particular scene where Geeta is defiantly defending Dharmesh??

I opened this thread out of curiosity, wondering which Shruti it is about... I guess it's Shakti from the original poster's comments... So I wanted to share my thoughts too...

I also thought the magic was of the cube was all cube's work and she did nothing was very harsh and uncalled for! She stretched her legs in the split in two directions while balancing herself on the bars with her feet - how can he say she did nothing??!!! Then how about her hanging on the cube in the final step, and all the moves she did inside the cube?? All that was NOTHING??? I felt that comment very unprofessional from a master and choreographer like Remo.. Even out of spite, he should have never put down a dancer like that when she did the act completely flawless!! If she had made some mistakes or slipped, then that would have been constructive criticism, but not this!! If Terence had said that Shashank's act was all what the chair did and nothing by Shashank, would he have agreed?? It's Terence's polished character that he kept quiet and said nothing, and took it with a smile! Any of the other two would have reacted differently for that comment, that too for an excellent dancer like Shakti... I liked when Mithunda defended her!! 👏 👏

So far, this is imho, I have never ever felt bored with Shakti's acts or felt she is doing the same thing! She has done variations of Contemporary, but each one has its own special touch that makes it unique and memorable... None of them were similar in steps or concept or anything.. And she does 200% justice to all the acts that as a choreographer, Terence can see that she has executed them in the same way he had exactly wanted. And talented dancers like her are choreographers' dream, as they can carry out the act with the same emotions and flawless moves as wished by the choreographer. So Terence likes to give her a lot of contemporary numbers which are his forte and he has someone who can execute them the way he wanted to see on stage... I loved all her acts so far, and she also won the awards for all her duets but one. I want her to be in the finale as she totally deserves it!!

BTW, when Shashank did that chair act, it had Mayuresh written all over it!! I was seeing Mayuresh's chair act in my mind when watching it!! Then someone said Punit did the same dance as Khushboo last year, but for a different song... Some steps were there, but the whole dance was not exactly the same... And one more thing - I really thought Saajan is way better than Prince!!

I agree, and disagree. Like many of you, I am pissed off at Remo for saying something like the cage did everything. There's no way just anyone could do that cage thing in a split and do it as perfectly as Shakti did. That tiny bit ruined the authenticity of his comment for me!


BUT, unlike many of you, I disagree that what Remo said was wrong. I loved him at that moment. It was superb the calm way in which he presented his arguments, told her no one could touch her in this style, but now it's time they see new things. I can't but fully agree with him! I don't see why everyone's so mad at him for saying it! According to me, he said it beautifully, all the words that were necessary and right on at Terence instead of at Shakti, who by the way, deserved it since he was already told he should give new things to Shakti.

I agree Remo didn't do it last season with Prince or whatever, but let's get over it can't we? We're talking about this season. And all his contestants had shown variety this season, even if it's been in bits and pieces. When Remo is that Remo he was yesterday, even asking to vote for Kruti, I love him! I agree he's not up to the mark until now, and I seriously hope he does get there soon, so that his contestants who have potential do not lose out, because until now, none of them have been that impressive enough to be true!

On the other hand, I disliked Geeta's behavior! Just when I was starting to like her, she does something as ridiculous as that. She literally threw me off! 🤢 I wouldn't be so annoyed if Terence was wrong, but damn, he was right, and you could perfectly see it in the flashback. No one saw it as clearly as he did, if they even saw it, yet he spotted and just calmly asked Dharmesh to work on it. I wish they gave him more respect than that, especially since sometimes he is the only one to point out, and see significant mistakes the other two masters never even realize!
