Part 1
The episode begins with a re-play of Dev asking the Goan drink stand girl what's in the Divine Pleasure drink and Rads holding her head after consuming the fenni drink. Dev looks shocked but gives a small smile. Dev tells the girl, thanks, the drink was nice. Radhika giggles and repeats the word nice two times. The song 'Zara Sa Jhoom Loun Main' begins as Rads is swaying on the beach and raising up her arms to dance. Everything looks blurry and upsidedown to her. RaDev go into a full-out dance sequence just like in DDLJ. Rads grabs what looks like a flower off of someones beach chair and runs off with Dev (cute in his rolled-up jeans) chasing after her. Avina's expressions are to die for! They perform the song sequence really well and look like they had a lot of fun filming it! Dev removes his black sweater to reveal a white button down shirt. At the 'Aa tujhe choom lun mein' part Rads leans over to kiss Dev but he backs away at 'Arre na re baba na!' and the drunken dance continues. They end up sitting next to the bikini-clad lady Rads was shocked to see yesterday and at one point in the song Rads runs off and the lady grabs Dev to hug him from behind! The look on his face is priceless! 😆 In between shots of Goa are cut in. Rads ends up lying down on a cart with Dev pushing the cart and looking stunned at her behaviour. She then gets up, grabs his hand and drags him towards the water. He backs away shocked. Then Rads ends up in the middle of a circle of girls on the beach dancing and Dev is trying to get her out of the circle. In the next scene she's at another drink stand and it looks like she grabs someone's beer bottle and empties it out onto the sand. Dev gets miffed with her and walks away. To manao him Rads smiles and starts rubbing his arms seductively while singing the lines 'Tandhi tandhi pavan...' and kisses him on the cheek! Dev is shocked at getting the kiss and very, very happy and as Rads' runs off he jumps into the air at the lines, 'Hogaya mainu nasha!'. Next RaDev are shown on a motorcycle. Dev is driving and Rads is sitting behind waving his black sweater in the air. They are also shown dancing in the sunset and they both look very ecstatic and care-free.
Part 2
RaDev arrive at their hotel and Rads is singing 'Zara sa jhoom loun mein..' as the doorman raises his hand to his head to greet them. Rads does the same. Then she snatches the guy's turban and he says, "Madam meri topi?" (Ma'am my hat?) Dev is trying to hold Rads up but he himself is tipsy (when did that happen, he took one sip and wasn't shown drinking during the song either!). Dev shakes his finger at Rads (as though saying 'bad girl!') when the door man asks for his turban back, so she gives it back and tells the guy she's sorry. RaDev walk down the hall and Rads knocks down a billboard and screams. She apologizes to it thinking it's a person and Dev taps her shoulder and shows her the hotel clerk standing behind them, then she says sorry to the clerk, who smiles and says, it's o.k. Ma'am. Dev winks at Rads and does an ishaara with his head which means 'shall we go to our room?' and Rads gives him a big sweet smile. Our newlyweds proceed to their room. Upon entering Rads looks around and says this is not our room. Dev tells her it is and she asks why it's decorated so much. He smiles and says he had it decorated. Rads says o.k., that's very nice but I'm going to bed now and she begins to lie down on the bed. Dev panics and says no, wait Radhika, wait! We have been dreaming of this night for so long, right? So please don't fall asleep! Rads smiles but her eyes are drowsy and she begins to fall back onto the bed again. Dev pulls her up again and says if you fall asleep I'll get sleepy too. We have our whole lives to sleep, but today I won't sleep and I won't let you sleep either. He kneels on the floor in front of Rads and holds her cheek. They are about to kiss (I think their lips are the closest they've ever been!) but suddenly both of them pass out (Rads on the bed and Dev on the floor). Chalo...night number one khatham (finished).
It's the next morning and our dynamic duo is shown fast asleep. Dev's head is in Rads' lap. She's out cold on the bed but he awakens and realizes what happened the night before. He does a gesture of knocking himself in the head (as if to say, "Darn it!") and gives a small smile. Dev then gets up, leans over Rads and gives her a sweet kiss on her cheek. She wakes up and is groggy and hung over holds her head. She asks Dev the time and he replies that it's after twelve o'clock. Suddenly Rads says, oh no, why didn't you wake me up? Dev tells her he was asleep beside her too. She is upset that she kept sleeping so late (I guess because she is used to waking up at 4am every day!) and says this is the first time this has happened to me. Dev teases her and says it's the first time for other things too. Yesterday for the first time you had madhira (alcohol). Rads is shocked and says chhee! Dev explains that their pavitra anand (divine pleasure) drink was actually alcohol and they both had a bit too much. He then explains that they were tipsy and ended up back at the hotel and passed out. Then Dev says won't it be fun when Dadi and Babuji get to know of this? Rads widens her eyes and opens her mouth in shock.
Part 3
Radhika pleads with Dev please don't tell Dadi and Babuji anything, as I am so ashamed. Dev says look Radhika, whatever happened was by accident and we'll ask Kanha for forgiveness. Rads is really upset and crying and says I can't even show Kanha my face! Dev comforts her and says don't worry Kanha knows it was all done by mistake and is not your fault at all. Rads insists that she has to do some prayschit (atonement) for her sin and tells Dev come with me. Dev replies that instead of doing prayschit lets earn punya (good deeds) and puckers his lips to kiss her. Rads backs away and Dev makes his "oh no not again" expression. Rads says I'm going to get ready you also hurry up and get dressed. Dev looks exasperated and falls back on the bed. The scene shifts to PB and Vivek calls for Birju to bring his diary. Vaishali asks him what he needs the diary for now, there's no use of making a guest list because Dadi has told them not to have a birthday party for her. Vivek asks why and Vaishali replies because Dev and CB are not here. Vivek tells her that's even more reason to have a party as it will cheer her up, and they should make it a surprise. Birju comes in and says, wow a surprise party! Mrinalini also comes in and listens to the conversation. Vivek asks Birju why he's acting as if he's hearing about the surprise party for the first time, weren't he and Radhika also planning a surprise? Mrin is listening closely to this and watching Birju and he sees her, so he quickly blurts out yes, yes we were planning a surpise party. Vivek sees Mrin and asks her to help make the guest list as they don't have much time and have to invite everyone by phone. Mrin sits down on the sofa but doesn't say anything. Dadi comes in and says what's going on, what's everyone discussing? Vaishali and Vivek try to cover and Vivek tells Dadi that we were just saying that since RaDev are not here there's no use in celebrating your birthday. Dadi says yes, that's absolutely right. The party will only happen once they return or once they give me the good news that I'm going to be a great grandmother. Mrin rolls her eyes. Vaishali quickly rushes Dadi out of the room giving the excuse that she wants to show her new dresses for their Radha Krishna idols and the two women leave. Vivek tells Birju and Mrin to give him ideas for the surprise party. Mrin scoffs at him and says Vivek please keep me away from planning this party...and anyway, in this house there is a surprise at every corner whether we want it or not...just like at the last party (she gives Birju a look while saying this). Mrin gets up in a huff and leaves.
In Goa Rads is sitting on the beach in a green and aqua blue saree looking very pretty but pensive. There is a lovely Kanha made out of sand (don't know if Rads made it or not) and she's sitting in front of the Kanha. Dev comes there wearing a yellow shirt and jeans. He calls up the hotel front desk and asks if the room decoration is done (poor guy, second attempt at SR ) an he's told it will be all done by evening. Dev comes and sits by Rads and hands her a cotton candy. He tries to cheer her up and tells her not to worry, Kanha is not angry with her because he is in heart heart and mind and those who have God situated in their hearts can do no wrong. He tells her to forget about the accidental drinking as it was just a mistake. Radhika folds her hands and prays to Kanha. Dev doesn't hear her voice but viewers hear what she is thinking. Rads says Kanha from today I am starting a new chapter of my married life. I don't want to begin this journey with any burden on my mind. Kanha please give me freedom from all the lies I have told. Please give me the strength to tell my husband the entire truth. I have tried to tell him the truth but something always got in the way. This time Kanha, please let me accomplish the task of telling my husband everything. Please don't let me face any obstacles in achieving this goal. Rads looks over to Dev who is also praying. He says to Kanha, You have given me everything I could possibly want. I only ask that you please keep Radhika and I together and never let us separate. Rads leans her head on Dev's shoulder. Both are smiling and looking at the ocean.
Part 4
At PB, Susheel and Arjun are sitting and talking. Arjun says that when they were at home in Agra they used to have a good time as they didn't have to hide while drinking alcohol. Susheel replies that they have come from a humble home to a mansion so they have to sacrifice a little bit don't they? They hear someone coming so they begin to hide their goods, but then they see that it's only Mrin, so they relax again. Susheel is a bit snarky with Mrin and says to her, you could've warned us you were coming! We were about to spill this good stuff in our haste because we thought someone else was coming. See because of you we were about to insult this beautiful thing (the alcohol). Arjun defends Mrin and tells his dad it's not her fault, they should've locked the door. Susheel says, ha lock the door, yeah right! Mrin sarcastically says, great, superb, mind blowing! Downstairs they are talking about the surprise party and here you two have started your own party! Arjun is grinning like an idiot. Mrin complains that they don't care about what she has been trying to tell them all along. Susheel asks her, what do you want to tell us and why do you want to tell us? Mrin widens her eyes and says not only do I want to tell you I want to show you also. She pulls out the dancer's dress that Vish wore at RaDev's party and throws it on the table in front of them. Arjun picks it up and asks what it is. Mrin says it's proof of what she was talking about the other day. Susheel laughs and says first remind us what you were saying the other day because we don't remember. Mrin understands that they are making fun of her and also mocks Susheel by saying you are simply happy getting drunk, what do you care about what's happening in this house? Mrin yells at Susheel and Arjun that she found the clothes in the store room and just as she was racking her brain trying to figure out who they belong to and why they were hidden in the store room, she saw a dancer wearing the same clothes in the photos from the party. She goes to explain how she saw the dancer going upstairs and questioned her but Radhika intervened. She also brings up how she saw Birju in the store room and found the tiffin box there. Susheel concludes that Radhika hid the dancer in the store room and Mrin says EXACTLY! Arjun asks why would she do that, and Mrin yells at him to do some detective work for a change instead of just asking dumb questions. Susheel asks what would be the point of finding out more information and Mrin says obviously so that they can have more reasons to throw Radhika out of the house. She warns them that if they are not careful then they will lose everything and Radhika will be victorious. Our Hanuman Birju is standing right outside the door and hears their conversation! 👏 Episode ends.
Precap: Rads is in her and Dev's decorated hotel room standing by the bed. She opens Dadi's gift box and pulls out what appears to be a red nightgown (I hope that's not the same red nighty Vish kanya wore when she tried to rape Dev! Wardrobe people, don't be so cheap, at least get Rads a new nighty! 😲)
My comments: I know some people on the forum did not like alcohol playing a part in RaDev's honeymoon, but today I enjoyed the light heartedness of part 1. Avina looked like they were having fun and it was a nice change to see RaDev smiling and being silly together. I do not condone drinking and I know this whole scenerio was done by the creatives to avoid the SR from happening, but I enjoyed pretending that our Avina were Bollywood stars for a few minutes (they really gave Kajol and SRK a run for their money!) and I tried not to get too serious about the whole drinking bit.
I was happy to see Rads sincerely praying to Kanha to help her tell Dev the truth and not keep anything from him. I liked the way she said she is starting a new phse of her life and wants to do so with a clean slate. However it worried me when Dev asked for Kanha to never separate him and Radhika...to me that foreshadows difficulties ahead for RaDev. But because they prayed to Kanha together, hopefully Kanha will protect them and their love.
That Chachu is as cool as a cucumber and definitely up to something. I am really hoping he and Arjun turn against Mrinalini big time. Loved how Birju was on top of things and is aware of the evil trio's plans. I like that Birju is being given a bigger role because I think he will be the doot of Kanha (who os non-different from Lord Ram) and help our RaDev!
Best thing about today: No Amma and no Vish kanya! No Amma all week, in fact !
