Creatives you have done it again!

Ok creatives....todays episode, what can I say..........you are all brilliant in turning something that could be simple and beautiful into a farce. In case you are all not aware of the meaning of this word I have looked it up in the dictionary and here is what it says-

-A light dramatic work in which highly improbable plot situations, exaggerated characters, and often slapstick elements are used for humorous effect.

-A ludicrous, empty show; a mockery.

Now let's come to the word slapstick. It is a type of comedy that involves exaggerated activities which exceed the boundaries of common sense. These hyperbolic depictions are often found in children's cartoons, and light film comedies aimed at younger audiences.

Todays show was a complete mockery of Radhika and what romance should be all about. First of all she was looking like a bai next to Dev..........being a Rajpurohitan who is going for honeymoon, she was given the worst sari to wear in the initial part of the episode. Even Vaishali is better dressed next to her. Although in the later part her looks have improved a lot, but please can someone who has any fashion or dress sense look into Radhikas wardrobe. Radhika has been continuously dumbed down in this serial to make someone else or something else look good. With her growth in the past three weeks I was hopeful that you have finally stopped dumbing her down but again you all are upto your old tricks. Being innocent, simple does not mean that one is stupid! Can you please get that in your empty heads! Is it necessary that knowing English is the only way that one can show one is intelligent!! Do the creatives mean that making fun of a simple girl who has not got that many opportunities in life is funny? Do the creatives not realize that making fun of some ones simplicity actually shows that one himself/herself is crass and insensitive? Radhika is simple.........but that does not mean that she does not have the intelligence to know that sea water is salty..........one does not have to look at the sea and drink its water to realize this fact. Even little kids know that.

There were light hearted moments in the episode.....the one in the bathroom and some scenes on the beach were good and cute.......both Dev and Radhika playing together, chasing each other, Dev teasing Radhika........those parts were all good. But that does not mean that you have to make fun of her ...........I was cringing for most part of the episode.

Now comes the most interesting part.........not only did you dumb Radhika down in this episode but also Dev. A guy who has lived and studied in USA does not know the smell or taste of alcohol!!! Anyone who does not drink will know if there is something alcoholic just by the smell and one sip is enough...........but here this guy gulps down alcohol and does not realize that he is sipping alcohol..........he has to ask!!! Give me a break!! Then you show both of them drunk in the hotel foyer...........what type of crassness is this!!! The amount that Dev has drunk should make him lightheaded not drunk to stagger into the hotel foyer. Now the main part...........for a girl who is simple, innocent, religious, one who has never stayed outside Vrindavan.........she seems to know her Bollywood songs quite well! Can you please explain to me how on earth did she know the words of zarra sa jhoom loo main?

One does not have to be drunk to loose ones inhibitions.........to show one is enjoying and having a laugh.............then all of us have to get drunk all the time. Today you made a mockery of Dev Raj Purohit, a mockery of Radhika Raj Purohit and a mockery of their romance. Looks like none of you know the meaning of the words such as "sensitive", "thought provoking".

I know you all want to postpone SR for your darling Vishaka to make a grand entry with that doll.........but couldn't you have thought of some other reason than to make these two drunk!! Looks like you are dangling the SR in front of the viewers like a carrot so that they watch the episodes............but can you please get it into your head that the story can progress realistically even after the SR happens.............instead of going in circles, can we please go forward with the story?

I can accept if tomorrow you show that todays precap as usual is not true..........Dev is not drunk, Radhika a bit lightheaded but not drunk.........and she goes and blurts out the truth regarding Vishaka to Dev............this will disappoint him and they will cut short their trip and come back to Delhi to solve the mess. In that way when Mrinalini creates a commotion during dadimas birthday Dev can stand by her and say that he knew about it and give reasons and support her............so they will show although Radhika has done something wrong, she has told Dev and they are solving it together.............they stand united.

And a final point ................you have also made a mockery of the viewing audience too! Are we stupid too?

misti my dear ... awesome post as usual .

- I found the overall episode quite cute and romantic ... light ... liked to see the two of them having fun
- I found her dress sense very bad ... wish they would have changed what she wore ...we have been lamenting on her thread ... but to no avail ... dev especially looked really dashing besides her ... but am willing to let go bcos they probably want to show that she does not know better
- Regarding her lack of knowledge of certain things, the tap scene was very cute ... I am okay with the salt water scene ... will let that go

However, on the precap and the fenni drinking

- They show him barely sipping fenni and then looking shocked ... so I dont know how he can get so drunk on that
- Really hope they dont show him drunk - that would be ridiculous. I can understand her making a mistake but him??
- Since precaps are misleading, I am thinking this is not what they will be showing. What they showed yesterday was not what they showed today

The only alternative scenario I could think of was that if the creatives in their infinite wisdom thought that they should postpone SR by a few weeks
- came up with the idea that dev shld get drunk accidentally... so he is going to get drunk just based on that one sip that he took. Please creatives, I will accept this stupidity but not if you make him go back and drink more ... that is just not in his character to do something deliberately when it is agst his beliefs
- dev realizes his mistake the next day and decides to cut him HM short and go back
- He and maybe rads also have to do some penance of sorts that requires abstinence
- SR is postponed by a few weeks as they do that

So Misti ... I really liked the episode (though I too was cringing at her jewellery and her dress sense and some of her naivete) ... but found the precap very odd to say the least

Misti nothing wrong in Rads knowing the song as radios are there in every village in this age tvs too and most of such songs are more popular in villages and in villages these small time shop owners will keep them on full blast which can be heard in the next street also.i agree that Rads sarees are not looking good but typically rural and garish Dev also drinking was not a good idea,he should know as he has already asked in the hotel.When did u start expecting rationality from creatives.I wrote on rajsri thread that they copied ur song.Good thing u posted ur thread soon otherwise I would have gone to sleep and then in the morning all my thoughts would have been already posted.

Misti, you are absolutely correct! I am convinced that the creatives are bent on making this show go down hill. There are a million other ways to show Radhika's playfulness other than making her drunk. There is nothing funny about being drunk and staggering!

These creatives need to go back and watch their show from the beginning. They really should try to stay focused on the original concept of the Dev and Radhika characters.

No wonder our divine jodi are not winning the awards they so deserve. These creatives have fluctuated the characters of Dev and Radhika so much that the judges and the audience are confused as to which character should earn their vote.

Wake up creatives... Rubina and Avinash deserve to walk away with all the TV awards, but because of your constant inconsistencies in their characters and with the show itself, they are being overlooked by the judges.

although i loved todays episode very much and the reason was only radev and their romance and humor added to it ,,,especially the scenes in the hotel room and bathroom,,,i loved the episode bcoz maximum time was dedicated to radev,,,,
but also i agree with u,,rad was looking beautiful ,,she always does but the dress designer should change her wardrobe,,otherwise she will look like a behenji,,,she has to compete with mrin and vish if not deepika in dresses...she is dev's wife and is younger ,,her wardrobe needs a drastic change for sure,,,,
and also i loved rad questioning dev about his conversation with the hotel and other staff,,,i loved rad's curiosity,,,now i think by this time dev should realise that radhika his lover,wife and the rajpurohitain needs to take some basic english lessons which will help her in future....

I don't watch the show anymore....I just read the updates on the forum....when I feel like they will give us quality work....I will start watching again......nevertheless....i agree with every word you said.....they didn't need this track......they don't need both of them drunk......this was once again a great way for them to bring out the truth....but they ruined it once agian.........I lost a little hope so I stoped watching......but continued to read the update......hopefully they don't kill all my hope and I will forget this show completely...........Its amazing how instead of making Radika's character greater and more sensible....the are steeping her lower and lower......first she learns to hide....then lie........then make stupid moves.......now actually act stupid......and last but not least make her drunk.........I wonder how much lower can they make her character???
