Our 1st meeting - SidMa

Riddhima got ready for another day in office. People may call her weird, but she liked work. She enjoyed her profession, it was full of glitz and glamour, and who would'nt like that?

She was the owner of the magazine Verve, but she preferred to do all the last-minute checks on it herself.

She heard a knock on the door of her cabin. She was skimming through an article about sun tan. Without looking up, she said " come in"

She saw a man with white shirt, blue jeans and with such an expression on his face that made her wonder ' does he ever smile'?

She smirked disapprovingly and indicated him to take a seat.

" I want to see your next magazine" he said in an arrogant manner.

She smiled fakely " sorry but we don't indulge our not-yet published work to others" .

" I don't care..i just want to see it!" he demanded.

" You don't care?..hello? I don't care!..i'm not showing it to you..!" she shot back.

He thought for a while. How do I deal with this black mini-skirt n pink top clad girl who acts like a typical behanji.

" hi I'm sid.." he smiled and put his hand forward.

She was taken aback by his kindness, but she could'nt be rude when someone was being nice.

" hi I'm riddhima.." she smiled taking his hand.

He immediately took his hand back because of the sensation he felt. She looked at him awkwardly.

" well..i heard that there's going to be something in ur issue about our family..and its definitely not true..so I just wanted to make sure that there's nothing like that!" he said coming to the point.

" I'm sorry but who are you?" she asked confused.

He was left open-mouthed. " are you kidding me?..you don't know ME?!..yeah, bad joke!" he smiled sarcastically.

" eh, if you were really that worth knowing, I think I would have!..now can u introduce?" she asked.

" whatever..people are outdated..i understand.." he said studying her face curiously.

She snapped her fingers in front of him " yeah they are…now I don't have too much time..so would you please?" she asked again.

" well..i'm the brother of Armaan Mallik.." he said proudly.

" Armaan mallik?!..u mean THE Armaan Mallik?" she asked shocked.

" yes!..n I thought u did'nt know us.." he asked rudely.

" well..obviously I know Armaan!..but you?..your just his brother.." she smirked.

" hell-o! I'm his brother..n the next superstar!..my debut is releasing next week..opposite genelia.." he gave her the shot.

" genelia and YOU?" she pointed at him shocked.

" me and genelia.." he winked.

" ugh..bad luck for her.." she muttered.

" well magazine?" he reminded.

" listen..we don't have anything related to ur family in here..its a fashion magazine, n If we had to mention we'll just mention about your 'brother's' awesome fashion sense.." she said stressing on brother.

" yeah?..then why wont u show me?..why are u scared?" he asked narrowing his eyes at her.

" hello?..i've told you…we don't give out unpublished stuff.." she said.

" u noe what!..i know why you're doing this.." he said.

" yeah? Why?" she asked in a bored tone.

" because you want to sleep with me!..until then u wont divulge anything..!" he stated getting up.

" hello?..sleep with a stupid person like you?" she acted as if it was the worste idea.

" stupid? You think you're not?..why?" he asked intrigued.

" well because I would never have coffee with you.." she teased.

" I would'nt ask you out!" he said in a disgusted tone.

" exactly why you're stupid" she said resting her elbows on the desk and putting her hands under her chin.

Later in the evening, they had gone for coffee. It was'nt that he wanted to take her, but had to, she had poked a challenge at him! Also, he could even try getting the magazine from her.

" so why did u take me out?" she asked breaking his thoughts.

" well..i wanted to be proved not stupid.." he said matter-of-factly.

" oh?...but I still think you are!" she sighed acting sad.

" that is entirely your opinion.." he smiled leaning over.

She leaned back because of his proximity and exclaimed " you want the magazine right!..thats why you got me out..!" .

" I want it..true. but that's not the reason to take you out.." he smiled.

" why would you take me out?" she asked confused.

" well I've told you..but since u repeated the question..i'll give a different answer – who would'nt take a beautiful lady like you to coffee?" he flirted.

" aha!..you're a bad flirt.." she grinned.

" that's why ure impressed!" he winked.

" no I am not!" she said trying to hide her smile.

He smiled widely, and it was so contagious that she had to smile too.

" so mr. sid mallik..tell me about Armaan.." she said dreamily.

Sid balled up his fists to control his anger. Why did everyone ask him this? It was getting irritating now. He thought, ' let your movie release dude, youre the talk of town!'

" Armaan..uh..he's my brother.." he stuttered.

" I know that!..tell me something more.." she demanded.

" he's an awesome superstart..AND he's going out with Shilpa Anand.." he smiled at the last bit.

" I did'nt want to know that.." she said pouting.

" well u asked for it!" he said.

" whatever..change the topic.." she said with a straight face.

He smiled at her cuteness and his evil ways.

" well ms.riddhima…tell me about your magazine.." he said smiling.

" I'm not going to divulge any details" she said before he could ask for anything.

" okay..i give up!" he said defeated but added " are u sure there's nothing related to my family?"

" no sid..there's abolsutely nothing…" she said.

She looked like she was telling the truth, so he thought of trusting her. He also smiled at the fact that 'Mr.Sid' had become just 'Sid'.

" thanks riddhima..and sorry for being so rude in the office.." he said embarrassed.

"no problem, I was ruder!..sorry.." she apologized too.

He smiled at her in a forgiving manner.

" here..here's my no.." he said tossing a card in front of her.

She picked it up and smiled. It had this hot photo of him, his name and his number.

" trust me, no girl has it yet!" he winked.

She chuckled , and saw him leave.
