Team Naina can heave a sigh of relief and pop a bottle of champagne ( but not in Venice. Venice is a Sid-Yuvi exclusive😉)... Naina has finally re-discovered her brains and has chosen to listen to her mind than be a victim of her heart.
Today, Naina's blind affection for Yuvi ended at that last look of loving adoration that she gave Yuvi for doing such a fantastic presentation. After that , as they came out in the corridor and Naina suggested shifting the date of the dispensary inauguration , Yuvi blew up... a fleeting glimpse of the bitter and belligerent man that he is on the inside. And the dropping of that newspaper cutting about Shanky's important surgery.... call it the hand of fate ( that means our darling creatives in television ) but Naina picked it up and Yuvi never came back to collect it.
That lone newspaper cutting set the ball rolling for Naina to snap out of her moonlight rides with Yuvi and give reality a first hand check. She sat down , collected herself and was about to ward off the 'undue' suspicion when her mind said... No, Naina. Stop. Don't look at the butterflies. Listen to your neurons. And that is what Naina did... her mind racing back to all the time Yuvi had tried to sneak into Shanky's personal and professional space and a voice inside her said that Yuvi is upto something... something dangerous that could hurt Shankypanks....
Throwing her love and affection for Yuvi to the winds , she went out of her way trying to find out what exactly happened on 1st Jan 1993 ( there is some information glitch in the script as Naina knows that the surgery of Yuvi's brother was done by Shankypanks already , correct me if am wrong)......her desperate search for answers in the record room and the hurtful truth lurking at the back of her head....Naina ... somehow... is already seeing what is coming her way... the unmasking of Yuvi's true intentions and her definite heartbreak. You could see it on her face today.... she knows it is coming....
I loved the scene in the locker room with the gang when she walks in slowly... thoughtful... serious.... not smiling. She lifts her eyes to look at Yuvi and it is almost as if she is trying to see somebody else... the revenge machine behind this loving pseudo-boyfriend... her look of suspicion , her anxiety ... and it was so clear and prominent that it made Yuvi conscious enough for him to raise his eyebrows at her and ask her what is wrong?..... But she is not listening.... she is thinking... thinking....sensing agony snowballing her way.... sad....
At the end of the episode as she consoles Sid , she is talking less to him and more to Yuvi......conveying through Sid's shield that she almost knows what Yuvi has done to her.... and finally the bitter realization dawning upon her that her love for Yuvi is one-sided. .....Sad na? And to think... this is only the beginning. 😕
In the break precap , we saw how Naina sits with the file of Yuvi's brother and realizes like a little girl who has just lost her doll that all those candyfloss frames that Yuvi showed her.... all the sweet nothings that he told her ... they were anything but real😭. Super sad. .... especially those quiet tears that roll down her pretty cheeks.
Yuvi has sensed a change in Naina's behaviour and mild accusation in her eyes.... he can sense what it is but he doesn't know yet what......😡
So, what's next ? FIREARMS? 😲
