Hello Everyone,
As you all know today will be a special one-hour episode and I will be taking a slightly different approach to the update today...
I will be posting bullet points along with one-liners from each part... so take a deep breath and ENJOY!!! đ
One liner: Amma asks Radhika to remove her jewelry, NO WEDDING yet!
Part 1
- Devki and Amma enter the house and Vishaka says someone is here to meet Radhika. It is a visitor from the new show- Swarna Abha.
- Swarna Abha wants to meet Radhika, Vishaka goes to get her. Amma tries to get Swarna Abha to leave but Vishaka gets Radhika out to meet her. Radhika and Swarna Abha greet each other, exchange pleasantries, she teases Radhika.
- Song and dance from Swarna Abha, teasing Radhika. Amma not looking happy
Coming up: Devki reminds Amma of how they behaved with Vishaka during mehendi rasam, she says it is obvious they don't want to see Vishaka's face and you want that she be accepted as their bahu, Amma is thinking. Devki begs Amma to stop this effort
Part 2
- Shastriji is outside asking the priest to get varmalas/flower garlands ready.Devki tries to stop Amma from doing anything, someone calls them to come to the door since baraat has come. Devki takes Amma out saying if we do not go, Shastriji will come, they both leave.
- Dev is on a horse, his whole family is dancing, Mrinalini and Arjun were flirting, Deppika tries to dance with Arjun( he does not want to).
- Dev looks through his sehra and remembers this place at the same place where he decorated the ghat and where he met Radhika so many times, he is reliving those memories, where she finally accepted his proposal.They show Radhekrishna idol, Dev folds his hands to pray.
- Shastriji, Devki and Amma are out waiting to greet baraat, Radhika and Vishaka are looking from the window. Vishaka says we saw your baraat, and your Dev Rajpurohit also. He looks handsome, if he wasn't an RP, I would have made him a film hero. Radhika asks Vishaka to go for Dwar-chaar rasam and not to forget to get neg/welcome gift. Vishaka leaves.
- Dev is looking through his sehra, Birju teases him that he is waiting for the sight of Radhika.
- Dadi looks at Amma and remembers the words she said on the mehendi function. Amma greets her saying you made us wait for the baraat and then hugs her with an evil look.
- Meanwhile Mrinalini looks at Amma, who smiles with an evil look and puts her hand up to say everything is under control. Chacha is surprised to see that, Vaishali also looks at Mrinalini and Amma and is happy.
Coming Up: Vishaka is crying and tells Amma that she should have listed to her. Amma says if both you and your mother listened to me, nothing bad would happen.
Part 3
- They show Devki greeting Dev and doing puja, Radhika is trying to watch through the window, she is nervous and shy, she smiles.(Song saiyaan doli leke dwar is playing)
- Dev is walking towards mandap, Deepika stops them and says wait, call the bride's sister to take neg/gift from bro-in-law. Dadi and Dev is upset. Amma says yes Bela is here, Bela extends her hand but Vishaka comes there smiling with a pot on her head. Everyone is shocked to see her especially the villians.
- Vishaka asks Bela to move to the other side, they are holding a ribbon to stop Dev to enter. Vishaka says I am here to take neg, so why Bela? I am here for the dwar- char rasam, so I will take neg from jijaji. Everyone looks upset. Vishaka says jijaji, neh toh aapko dena hi padega(bro-in-law, you have to give a gift).
- Vishaka says after cutting the ribbon and giving neg, only then can you go in. Dev is looking down, Dadi is looking at her and then says Dev, give the neg, no need to cut the ribbon, it is a ritual, just finish it. Dev gets money from Arjun and puts it in Vishaka's put and Vishaka is in tears. The ribbon falls, everyone goes in, Vishaka stands there teary eyed.
- Devki stops Amma and says see how they behaved with Vishaka for such a small rasam, you can make out they don't even want to see her face and you want her to accepted in their house. Devki says kab tak aap meri beti ko baar baar apmanit kavati rahengi (till when will you keep getting my daughter insulted?), you love Vishaka, you want to do her good like this? They will never accept her, for God's sake stop this effort. Devki leaves, Amma is thinking.
- Dev goes to mandap, Mrinalini and Vaishali are discussing whether their plan will succeed or not. Amma comes and asks to talk to them. Amma complains that this is how Vishaka will be treated, she has been insulted so badly, could you not stop Dadi? Mrinalini says if we knew she was coming, we would have done something no, did you not say just get the baraat and you will send the real choti bahu?
- Amma says with what trust should I send my granddaughter? so that she will be thrown out again? she will be slapped and insulted? Vaishali and Mrinalini are quiet. Amma asks Vaishali for confidence that Vishaka would be accepted as CB. Vaishali says if you trust my word, then listen- for my son, for my lineage, I will accept your granddaughter as CB, not just me but my full family. Amma is happy and says now see what I will do, now what we want will happen.
- Amma goes back into the house, Devki tries to stop her. Mrinalini and Vaishali stop Devki with pleasantries. Devki keeps looking towards the direction Amma went.
- Dadi asks Shastriji if our CB is ready, Shastriji says yes she is when it is time for varmalas, she will come. Dev asks dadi if he can meet Radhika now, Dadi asks him to sit quietly and meet her during varmalas. Vivek and Birju tease him. Dev is thinking- where are you Radhika, I want to see you in the bridal outfit.
Part 4
- Nandu is near Radhika, telling her your baraat has come, now you will be married. This time after marraige, you are really going? Radhika nods yes. Nandu says I will remember you, I won't come to this house. Only if you come, I will come then. Nandu goes out to see how Dev is looking and Nandu leaves.
- Radhika comes out of the bedroom and she is walking around the house, remembering childhood memories of her and Vishaka and smiles. Radhika remembers Devki teaching her to make rotis. She touches the family photos (song babul jo tumne sikhaya, woh sajan ghar le chali is playing). radhika is in tears remembering her childhood.
- Vishaka is crying in a room, Amma comes in and asks what happened. Vishaka says I should have listened to you, I shouldn't have gone for the dwar-char rasam. Amma says now you understand, if you and your mom listened to me, nothing bad would happen, the pity is everyone thinks of me as making wasteful efforts. Vishaka asks for Amma's forgiveness. Vishaka says I didn't mean to insult you. Amma says I will fix everything, you don't worry. Vishaka says but I wanted to see this wedding. Amma tells her to go to the roof, once we have an opportunity, we will take you to the mandap but be careful of everyone. Vishaka nods and leaves.
Coming Up: Amma tells Radhika that history will repeat itself, brides will switch again, radhika is shocked and in tears.
Part 5
- Nandu is talking to Radhika about Dev, Amma comes and asks him to leave. Amma tells Radhika you are very happy, this jewelry, this beautification, you think all this is yours and will remain yours? Have to tell you with sadness that all this will be snatched from you because all this is not yours, it belongs to my Vishaka. Radhika is shocked and in tears. Amma says dulhan tu nahi, mor Vishaka hai (you are not the bride, my Vishaka is).

-Meanwhile Amma tells radhika, Vishaka will go out as the bride and not you, Radhika is shocked and leans against the bed. Amma says Vishaka will do pheras with Dev, not you. The priest says by tying this thread, you are entering into marraige with Radhika, he says aap unke vivah-sutra main bandhne wale hain (you will be entering holy matrimony with her). This sacred thread has a lot of power, it joins two souls for life and after life. Dev is thinking that by putting this thread, I promise that I will be yours in this life and next 7 lives.
- Radhika asks what are you saying Amma? Radhika says outside, outside the baraat has come, they are waiting for me, he is waiting for me. They show the sacred thread being tied around Dev with chanting.
- Radhika says please think about father's reputation, , she cries and says main dulhan, meri shaadi (I am the bride, my wedding)
Part 6
- Radhika says he is waiting for me. The sacred thread is being tied around Dev, Chacha and Arjun are watching. Dev thinks to himself mere dil, meri zindagi main tumhari jagah koi nahi le sakta,jab maine tumhe pehli baar dekha tha, tab pata chal gaya tha ki tum hi ho jisse kanha ne mere liye banaya hai, aur uss din se aaj tak,yeh dil sirf tumhare naam se dhadakta hai Radhika (noone can take your place in my heart and my life, when I saw you the first time, I knew then that you are the one who Kanha made for me and from that day till this day, my heart beats only for you Radhika).
- Radhika falls to Amma's feet and says please don't do this Amma, everything will be over Amma, please don't do this. Amma sits down and says whatever will happen now, get ready for it because you know you will not be the bride, stand up. Stand up. Amma lifts her up and says remove the jewelry, remove it.
Next week: Songs are playing, women are dancing to mere haathon main nau nau choodiyon from Chandni. Dev lifts the ghooghat, he slowly opens the ghooghat and smiles.

My comments: No wedding ceremony, the creatives have managed to disappoint us yet again. Rubina however has done an outstanding job, so kudos to her. I don't understand the point of having this MAHA EPISODE, nothing different than the usual dragging of the serial. On Monday and perhaps for the next 2-3 weeks, wedding celebrations will continue..God give us strength to bear this yet again...perhaps the creatives want to show a lot of parallels with the original wedding, but this time with a positive outcome.
