Did Sadhana Sargam have a bit of soft corner for the Gujarat team? Ofcourse, there is no chance of regional bias here - Sadhana is a Maharashtrian. However, the common factor between Sadhana-Parthiv-Dipali was their association with Kalyanjibha-Anandjibhai. It seems that the 3 have interacted in the past and during her comments, Sadhna Sargam appeared to have a soft corner towards Gujarat.
Not that her judgement was grossly wrong but I felt 2 cases in which Gujarat got more marks than they deserved -
1. I think Parthiv-Prachi's duet did not deserve 8 out of 10. (7 would have been ok)
2. I think in the tie-breaker jugalbandi, the points should have been split equally. Sumedha sang atleast as good as Parthiv.
It was such a close contest that with another set of judges, the result might well have been different!

Gujrat is a hot corner for Zee(if they start voting starting with the finals). Soft corner also was very much visible. But talent of Gujrat cannot be denied. In fact, Prachhi who is considered the weakest link gave superb performance in the solo round. She is one under dog with the most powerful voice.

i kinda disagree with the second
cuz if they split the baddam's equally then it would've been another tie...[baddam thing was pretty stupid...if there were 10, and somebody had 4, why were they being suspensful on opening the guys hand? could 10-4=3? or sumtin)

[i'm not favoring gujju's much, but Rohit's team, so not much bias from my side]
and is Sargam really that ladies last name?

The badam thing was stupid and so was the Pritam hair cut drama. It was enacted most clumsily!

The fact is no one from MP at this point can match Parthiv's Gayeki. Amir is a possibility but he is too young to be compared to Parthiv, may be after 5 yrs or so. In solo round, Amir got the highest.

I would like to see Parthiv competiting solo with some of the recent SRGMPs good singers (eg. Raja Hassan). He very well may finally win, but I not sure there are other good SRGMP singers who can give him a run for money. He is good but not to the point of being a hands down winner.

Bharat you are actually correct about Aamir's punch. First time I listened I did give full attention to Aamir's performance and thought it was very good. And now I listened him again(only audio), what a performance it was. He took all harkatein and those were very crisp and clear, brilliant diction control, powerful voice, and full of feel. Preetam was right here that changes Aamir brought was even better than original(I dont know about real original).
