Oct. 23 Written Update COMPLETE!

Part 1

The episode begins with Vishaka telling Dev, "You are against my participation in the wedding because I was once your wife? Well you and I were never husband and wife...despite being married, you never treated me as a wife and I never treated you as a husband." She goes on to say that today she is here only as Rads' sister, nothing more. She asks Dev, "Do you remember you once told me that you can give me everything except love? Well I'm glad you didn't give me love because that love belongs only to Radhika!" She continues her speech, saying nobody can come between RaDev and she really, really wants to be a part of the wedding. Rads is giving Dev pleading glances and nodding her head slowly to try to make him agree to Vish being in the wedding. Dev address Rads and says that for him nothing is more important than her happiness. If having Vish participate in the wedding rituals is so important to Rads, fine. His family members will be very upset but manao-ing them is his responsibility. Rads and Vish smile and hug eachother. Dev looks upset. Vishaka tells Dev, "I'm so happy you've forgiven me!" Dev replies, "No Vishaka, for all that you have done, it's simply not possible for me to ever forgive you, even if my family members do. I'm doing all of this only for Rads' happiness." He turns to Rads and says, "I will speak to Dadi and get back to you. Take care of yourself." He walks out without saying bye to Vishaka. Rads tells Vish not to worry, Dev will handle it and speak to his family. Vish says that's fine, but what about Babuji, he will be upset, no?

Part 2

Amma, Shastriji, Devaki walk into the room and Amma is asking Shastriji not to say anything to Vishaka about her coming before the Purohit family at the ceremony. Shastriji looks angry and says, "What is there left to say now?" He turns to Rads and tells her, "Please inform the guest (Vish) that she is to gather her belongings and leave this minute." He adds, "The shastras are considered as God and I know the guest has no qualms about offending the shastras, but if such a person resides in a home in which there are difficulties and clashings among family members due to her presence, it is best for that person to leave." The Shastri women all look shocked. Amma asks Shastriji why he can't forgive Vish. He cuts her off, holds up his folded hands and says, "Amma please pardon me, but due to this girl today I was insulted in front of the Purohits and was the cause of their insult. I was brought down in the eyes of society today due to her."

Part 3

Vishaka tells her father that she only broke a relationship...isn't there a such thing as divorce in this country? She tearfully says that her being in PB as CB had gotten impossible and unbearable for her and she compares her time at PB to that of being sentenced to jail and locked up behind bars. Shastriji yells, "Vishaka!" and raises his hand as if to slap her. Rads screams, "No babuji " and runs to Vish's side. Amma says, "A daughter is the form of the goddess Lakshmi and you are raising your hand at your daughter?" Shastriji retorts, "SHE IS NOT MY DAUGHTER! I have only one daughter and that is Radhika. Tell the guest to leave this instant!" Devki makes a constipated face and follows Shastriji out of the room silently. Rads tells Vish that she won't let her go anywhere. Amma is listening. Rads looks at her Radha Krishna murtis and says, "My Kanha will not allow this". Vishaka says, "No Radhika..." and walks out of the room in a huff with Rads trailing behind her. Amma looks like she's hatching a plan. Scene shifts to PB. Dadi is very tensed and Susheel says, "We didn't expect this from Shastriji, chachima. On one hand he did tarpan of his daughter on the other hand he fetched her and brought her back home? By calling Vishaka back the Shastri family has made a huge mockery of this wedding." Arjun adds his two cents by saying, "This will be the first wedding in history where the ex-wife will be dancing at the mehndi function of her sister who is marrying the same guy...what say Mrin bhabi?" Mrin peeks at Vaishali who looks super-upset and asks her, "Mummyji what are you thinking?" Vaishali says, "What difference does it make to anyone what I think, who around here cares to listen to what I have to say anyway?" Dadi says, "No bahu, it's not like that. Whatever we are doing is for Dev's happiness..." Vaishali cuts her off and says, "Do you want it that only we are left to attend this wedding? Do you know that one of the relatives said she would not attend the wedding because we are getting our son married into a family where one daughter already blackened our faces and ran away...what can we expect from the other daughter or the family?" Susheel pipes in that whatever this relative is saying all the relatives will say on the wedding day. Dadi says, "Enough Susheel.." He continues and says. "What will society say? What to do about what Shastriji has done, this tarpan nautanki ?" Dadi says that even she is upset over the situation but she will not hear one word against Shastriji as he is a highly respected priest. Susheel says that he doesn't want to insult anyone, afterall he is a Purohit, but he thinks that the fact that Vish was invited to participate in the wedding means there is some underhanded scheme done by Shastriji. Mrin says, "What do you think Chachaji, do the Shastris want to send Vish back into this house?" Vaishali's ears perk up. Dadi cuts in and says that my son Dev and this family has nothing to do with Vishaka. Dev's happiness is Radhika and only she will become the CB of this family. Vaishali and Mircha gang look upset. Dadi says, "I will see who stops Rads from becoming Dev's wife and CB of this house."

Part 4

Dev and Birju walk in and Dev goes to Dadi and says he wants to speak with her privately. They leave the room. Birju wheels Vivek out of the room as well. Mrin makes a sad face and walks over to Vaishali and puts her hand on Vaishali's hand, feigning sympathy. Vaishali takes her hand away and says, "Good night Mrinalini" and leaves. Evil trio discuss and Arjun says, "Bhabi, why didn't you mention Vishaka to her?" Mrin says, "Arjun, did Deepika take your brain to her maayka with her? And chachaji you? Why were you complaining? Don't you both see that Vishaka's return and involvement in this wedding is good for us? We will definitely use this new turn of events to our full advantage...but at the right time." Scene shifts to Vrindavan. Devki requests Shastriji to have his meal but he says he doesn't feel like it, she should go ahead and eat. Amma says why are you taking your anger out on the food, just eat. Shastri is upset and says, "How can a person whose home has been consumed by the fire of problems sit down to eat peacefully?" Amma says, "Your daughter has come home and you consider this a problem? Your words are what's sparking a fire here." Shastriji says that he doesn't even have words left to describe how he feels. The daughter whose tarpan he did, his family called her back? He says, "I am being treated like a criminal due to the actions of my mother, my wife, and my daughter?" Rads enters the room and hears this. She says, "Babuji I..." but he cuts her off. Vish enters the room, baggage all packed, hands folded. She tell Shastriji that she is leaving from there forever. Devki makes her constipated face and Rads holds Vishaka and says, "No, I will not let you leave from here." Shastriji tells Rads to let her go. Amma says, "Instead of stopping your daughter from leaving, you are making her leave? What kind of father are you? She is visiting for a few days and in the middle of the night you are asking her to leave?" Shastriji replies that she can stay for one more night, but first thing in the morning she must leave from here. Scene shifts to Dev in PB, who is calling Rads. Rads answers the phone in tears and tells him that Shastriji has asked Vish to leave the house for good. "Tomorrow morining as my haldi will be applied my sister will be leaving forever." Dev tells Radhika to get a hold of herself. Rads cries and babbles on that, "Is our love so weak that it can't withstand a truth? An incident of the past has shaken it so much that it cannot face the truth now? On what grounds do we speak of being together for seven lifetimes?" (She is referring to the fact that he and Vish were once married but just because that marriage ended does it mean that her and Dev's love is so weak that it can't accept the fact that she and Vish have a bond of sisterhood no matter what). I'm sorry but I have to comment here. RADS, PLEASE APPLY THIS SKEWED LOGIC OF YOURS WHERE IT SHOULD REALLY BE APPLIED...LIKE WHEN IT COMES TO TELLING DEV THE TRUTH ABOUT YOURS AND HIS MARRIAGE! THAT'S THE TRUTH THAT YOU NEED TO WORRY ABOUT YOUR LOVE WITHSTANDING!

Part 5

Dev asks Radhika what she's talking about. Rads composes herself and say, "Please forgive me. None of this is your fault. I just said what was in my heart. Now I'm keeping the phone. Right now I need to be with my sister." She hangs up the phone and Dev looks upset. He walks into Dadi's room to talk to her. Dadi tells him it was a big shock for her to see Vish suddenly. She can only imagine how he must've felt. His marriage to Vish was an incident they don't want to remember so how can they tolerate seeing her now? Dev tells Dadi that after hearing Rads and Vishaka he thinks that perhaps they (Purohits) were the ones who were wrong. Dadi is shocked and says "What are you saying?" Dev continues: "We can't ignore the truth. I was once married to Vish but now we are divorced. But Vish is still Rads' sister." He hesitatingly says that Vish should be allowed to participate in the wedding. Dadi questions how this will affect him emotionally, how will he feel about his past being brought out in front of him. There is a limit to how much pain a person can stand (right you are Dadi, and our Dev has been hurt more than enough!) Dev says as long as Rads is happy, he's happy. He just wants Rads to be happy all the time. Just as he tells Dadi that Rads requested him to allow Vishaka to be a part of the wedding, Vaishali walks into the room and overhears. Dadi questions what society will say if Dev's first wife is present at his second marriage. Dev says he will answer to society, all he wants is Dadi's permission. Dadi says granting permission is impossible for her. Yes, she left the decision on Shastriji, but truth be told, she does not want Vishaka anywhere near the wedding. Vaishali interjects and says, "Why not ma ji? I think what Dev is saying is correct. Vishaka should be allowed to be a part of the wedding." Dadi says, "Perhaps you've forgotten all that Vishaka put our family through?" Vaishali replies, "Yes, I'm willing to let bygones be bygones and I think you and everyone else in the family should forget the past too. You are the one who said we should do everything for Dev's happiness (wow Vaishali's emtional blackmail is almost on par with Radhika's!) so just consider it that we have granted Dev's wishes and are making him happy. Dadi is speechless. Scene shifts to next morning in Vrindavan. Preparations for haldi ceremony are in full swing and Shastriji reminds Devki that "the guest" is to leave before the ceremony begins. Devki sinks into a chair looking like her usual constipated self and Rads sits beside her. Vish walks out wheeling her luggage and tearfully hugs Amma goodbye while a driver takes her bags to the car. She then hugs Devki and Rads walks over to Shastriji. Before she can say a word Shastriji tells her to not even bother trying to change his decision. Suddenly we hear Vaishali's voice saying, "You won't even listen to me Shastriji?" Everyone is shocked to see Vaishali and Dev standing there, (Dev is wearing a brown shirt and sunglasses and looking amazing...honestly this is the best part of today's episode, ha!) Show ends.

PRECAP: Vaishali is grinning and telling Amma, "You know why I stopped Vishaka from leaving don't you?" Amma is smiling slyly. RaDev and Vishaka are in the garden and Vish is holding RaDev's hands together and saying, "Once you are married no one will be able to pull you apart no matter how much they try." RaDev are staring at eachother smiling.

Where is the emoticon that shows the frustrated face hitting it's head against a wall?? Because that is exactly what I feel like doing-banging my head repeatedly againt the wall....my gosh, what a ridiculous episode today!
