This is fun shot I just wrote because I was crazy? đ No that's wrong, I wrote this only because I was bored and it just seemed like a fun concept and that credit goes to Rinki! đ Who helped with the concept! *nods* Hope you guys enjoy it đ
"Hey kids!" a girl turned around as she heard the footsteps of kids behind her. "Excited for summer camp?"
"Yes Ms. Meera," The kids replied looking at her name tag.
She smiled. "You can call me just Meera okay?"
The kids nodded.
"Who's with me in Cabin Dreams and Cabin Rainbow?"
Several kids raised their hands and Meera told them to stand behind her while she waited for the other counsellors to join them.
As if reading her mind ten other people her age stepped out from the main cabin and made their way to the group of kids.
"Hey Aradhna," Meera hugged one of her friends while all the girls stood on one side taking in all the guys they were meant to be working with. "Who's the one standing there glaring at all of us?"
"He's a newbie," Aradhna muttered. "Name's Rahul. He's the eldest so even though he's new he thinks he owns the place,"
Celina cleared her throat and held out her clipboard. "Here are your assignments."
"Sorry to interrupt ma'am." Meera smiled. "I've already received mine."
"Meera, I'm head counsellor right?" Meera nodded slowly. "So I've decided to redo the assignments. Any problem?"
"No ma'am," Meera turned red in the face and looked down at her shoes while she heard a few snickers from the guys' side.
"Cabin Dreams and Rainbow will be co handled by Meera and Rahul."
Meera's mouth dropped open and glanced at Rahul who glared back at her. "But ma'am, I was meant to be handling it alone,"
"Do you have a problem with Rahul?" Celina asked. "Whom you haven't even met?"
Meera shook her head. "No ma'am but..."
"Not buts, it's final. Go take your children to the cabin."
Meera frowned but led the kids with her towards their cabins while Rahul trailed behind.
"Umm we haven't met officially," Rahul smiled. "I'm Rahul. Rahul Khanna." He held out his hand.
"I'm Meera," she smiled back. "Meera Dave." She took his hand and suddenly felt a pull as he grabbed her towards him. Their faces were mere inches apart and he glared. "I know you've done this beforeâbut I don't want you acting like the boss around here okay?"
"I," Meera frowned before pushing him away. "I will do whatever I want. Come on kids," she flipped her hair at him and walked into the large cabins.
Rahul watched her disappear into the cabin and frowned. He shouldn't have been so rude in getting his point across but he was and now he had nothing to do but apologize.
He stepped into the cabin and everyone turned to look at him. "You're a jerk." One of the girls muttered.
"Excuse me?" He glanced down at her.
"Rinkiâwe don't talk like that," Meera frowned while smiling.
"Meera, he was mean to you," Rinki shrugged. "Hence he became a jerk."
"Nice analogy," Kiran high fived with Rinkz.
"I'm sorry about before," Rahul turned to say to Meera who looked away. "I shouldn't have been that rude."
"Yet you were." Meera shrugged. "Okay girls in Cabin Dreams, boys follow Rahul to Cabin Rainbow."
"We need a cabin with a more manly name," Farid was heard mumbling to Akki while they trudged out of the cabin, making the girls erupt with laughter.
~*~*~*~*~*~
"Can you believe some of the girls?" Aradhna gaped as she and Meera made their way through the cafeteria line. "I can not believe they're only 15."
"Have you heard the boys yet?" Meera sighed. "I swear...16 is the WORST age for handling teenage boys. Especially since we're only like 4 years older than them."
"They take advantage of that," Aradhna glared at one of the boys whistling at the back of the large room. "I'm going to kill him!"
"What'd he do?" Meera grabbed her arm and held her there.
"He..." Aradhna grimaced. "I don't wanna talk about it,"
"Radz, its me. You can tell me."
Aradhna sighed before leading Meera off to a secluded table. "Promise not to tell?"
"Promise," Meera frowned inching closer.
"He was hitting on me," She glared in the boy's direction.
"Whoa Radz! Younger boys?" Meera's eyes went wide.
"Shut up!" Aradhna slapped Meera'a arm and laughed. "I'm going to hurt you."
"You wouldn't." Meera grinned. "No one else would keep you company. Unless you wanted to talk to that grouch Rahul," she muttered under her breath.
"Speak of the devil." Aradhna grinned as she saw him approaching their table.
"Is this seat taken?" He asked.
Meera threw her bag on the bench. "It is now."
He gritted his teeth before heading off in search of another table.
"Why did you do that?" Aradhna frowned. "Maybe he's not so bad..."
"You're the one who told me everything about him and besidesâhe's got so much attitude."
Aradhna shrugged before biting her apple and checking the schedule for the next few days but Meera found her gaze wandering off in Rahul's direction.
"What's the next activity this afternoon?" Meera asked.
"Tours," Aradhna groaned. "Nearly the worst part in this stupid camp."
"I like the tours!" Meera grinned. "Except when we have the same kids as last year, which makes it extremely repetitive and annoying,"
"Meera, we're done," Kiran stepped up and tapped Meera on the shoulder. "Can we go?
Meera looked down at her uneaten pizza and back up at Kiran who was looking outside. "Sure, let me just finish talking okay?"
"We'll be on the front porch," Rinki said as she pulled Kiran towards the door, sneering at the boys table.
Meera shook her head before standing up.
"What are you doing?" Aradhna glared. "Eat something first."
"I'll grab yoghurt," Meera shrugged. "I don't want to make them hate me on the first day Radz."
"Fine. I'm gonna drag you to dinner myself," Aradhna nodded before picking up her own slice of pizza.
"Yes Radz," Meera smiled as she made her way to the porch outside where she saw their boys and girls standing on opposite sides with Rahul in the center but he didn't notice her yet.
"Will you guys please talk to each other?" He pleaded.
Akki shook his head. "Why should we if they're being so difficult?" He nodded at Kiran.
"I'm not difficult." She glared. "We just think if Meera won't talk to Rahul because he's meanâwe shouldn't have to talk to him or you guys either,"
"You just talked to us," Farid snickered.
"Shut it," Rinki glared.
"Ohh!!" Farid pretended to be scared. "I'm so scared. Mommy, help me."
Meera watched in amusement as Rahul struggled to find something to say.
"If I promise to talk to her nicely, will you guys please cooperate?" Rahul asked.
Meera frowned. This was definitely not what she had expected to come out of his mouth but she was definitely pleased.
"Hey why are you still here?" Aradhna tapped Meera's shoulder.
"Crap! Ssh! Rahul's handling the kids,"
"And so you're spying?" Aradhna crossed her arms.
Meera shrugged. "Such a good opportunity couldn't possibly be missed."
Aradhna rolled her eyes and stepped outside deliberately. "Hey Rahul."
"Hi Aradhna," Rahul smiled sweetly at her then he noticed Meera standing behind the meshed door. "You can tell your friend to come out. I won't bite,"
All the kids snickered and Meera felt her face flame while Aradhna just smirked at her.
"I'm not scared of you," Meera glared.
"Of course not." Rahul nodded. "Will we all go on the tour together?"
Meera shook her head. "I'll take my girls separately."
"Meera, it'd be more fun with the guys," Rinki pointed out.
"Rinki," Meera turned to stare at the girl but instead found herself willingly backing down. "Fineâwe'll just go together. You guys go get changed in the cabin."
The kids all ran in the direction of the cabins and Meera was left glaring at both Rahul and Aradhna.
"Well I best be off. Ta!" Aradhna grinned before waving at them.
"I hate her," Meera muttered under her breath.
"She's really nice not to mention hot as well," Rahul grinned as they both watched her walk.
"Are you hitting on my friend in front of me?" Meera turned and gaped at him.
"No but why? Would you rather I hit on you?" He raised his eyebrow and took a step towards her.
"No," Meera backed up into the door and frowned. "Stay away from me," she pushed him away before rushing towards the cabin only to find the door locked.
"You girls okay in there?" She called.
"Yeah we're fine. We'll be out in a few minutes," She heard Kiran's voice call out.
"I want to talk to you." Rahul called from behind.
"Rahul, I really don't want to spoil this day any further. Say it quickly."
"I'm sorry about everything from before." He sighed. "I really am, whether you believe it or not,"
"I have no reason not to believe you," Meera shook her head. "It was just really rude alright?"
"I accept. I'm sorry." Rahul nodded. "Can we just start fresh?"
Meera shrugged. "I suppose so,"
"Great." Rahul took her hand in his and smiled. "I'm Rahul."
"Oh, you really did mean fresh didn't you?" Meera grinned. "I'm Meera."
"Pleased to meet you," Rahul turned her hand over in his and lightly grazed the back of it with a kiss.
"AAAAHHHHH!" A scream came from the cabin and both Meera and Rahul rushed to the door opening it with a startled only to find it completely empty.
"Where'd they go?" Meera ran to the window and saw some of the girls running away. She ran to the door and tried opening it only to realize it was locked.
"They locked us in?" Rahul stared out the window at the kids laughing.
"Well duh!" Meera groaned and tried hard again but the door remained shut. "I hate this!"
"Don't you have your phone?" Rahul suggested.
A brief smile came onto Meera's face until she realized she left her phone in the cafeteria. "Where's yours?"
"In my cabin," Rahul replied.
"Great." Meera groaned and slinked onto one of the beds. "How are you so calm?" She frowned.
Rahul shrugged. "They've gotta come back sometime,"
"And you figure that how?"
Rahul gestured to their surroundings. "It's their cabin," He walked to where a blue iPod sat on a night table. "We have control over their belongings." He smiled.
"I love the way you think," Meera grinned.
~*~*~*~*~*~
"How do you think they are?" Kiran asked as she walked with Rinki through the woods. "I hope they don't kill one another."
Rinki rolled her eyes in response. "Really Kimz? That'd make it much more fun,"
Kiran shook her head. "Aren't you surprised your 'husband' came up with such a brilliant plan?"
"Shush!" Rinki glared. "I don't want him knowing I remember that from last year,"
"You know he probably remembers too," Kimz grinned. "You guys shared your first kiss together. Not something easy to forget,"
"Speaking from experience?"
"Partially," Kimz shrugged.
"But yes I'm shocked they conceived an idea like this too," Rinki agreed.
"Talking about us?" Farid came into view with Akki by his side.
"Courseâwho else could we ever be talking about?" Rinki smiled sarcastically.
"Well I know I'm always on your mind," Farid stepped closer to Rinki. "So Ms. Rubina, any new friends I need to know about?"
She stared at him until shaking her head. "Why so you can flirt with them too?"
"Someone sounds jealous," He walked in step with her.
"I think you're wrong."
"Well I'm usually right," he shrugged. "What's up with you? I feel like we haven't talked at all since last year."
"We haven't Farid. And whose fault was that?" She stopped walking and faced him. "You were the one who said we'd keep in touch. You were the one who never called, or emailed. So don't blame me for this one bit." She fumed before stomping off.
Farid watched her walk away and went back to where Kiran and Akki stood. "What's with her?"
"I don't know Farid. You tell me," Kiran glared.
"Whoa! I'd talk fast dude, that look means you're dead," Akki grinned.
"The look applies to you too," She turned and glared at Akki who coughed and smiled. "You never called herâthat really upset her; especially since everything that happened last year."
Farid sighed. It wasn't going to be easy convincing her to let them take things back to how they were. "Do you think if I try I can make her happy again?"
"What?" Kiran gaped at him. "You, plan to make her 'happy' again? Who says that?" She shook her head laughing.
Farid glared at Kiran and then pouted in a boyish way. "What do you think I should do?"
Kiran found a moment where she could be pompous. "Why are you asking me?" she crossed her arms and looked the other way.
"Because you're her best friend," Farid frowned.
"True," Kiran smiled and tapped her chin as they walked towards the campfire. "What did you do last year?"
Farid rolled his eyes. "You think I remember? I'm sure she told you."
Kiran glared at him. "As much as you boys think we tell each other everythingâthere are certain things girls keep to themselves."
"Like?" Akki asked.
"Things!" Kiran said louder.
"Right, no need to yell." He backed away slowly.
"So whacha gonna do?" Kiran rolled her eyes glancing at Farid who was staring off into the distance.
"Get her to forgive me first," He said.
"Well duh!" Kiran groaned. "I meant what are you going to DO to get that? Sheesh!"
"Well you could've explained it!" Farid frowned.
"You could have a brain to let it register," she glared.
"Stop," Akki whispered to Farid who sighed.
"I don't know what to do." He groaned.
"Boys." Kiran muttered. "Absolutely useless."
"You must have some idea to help him out?" Akki asked.
"Why should I even bother?" Kiran frowned. "He hurt her."
"And you can help him fix it?" Akki suggested.
"You're not so good at convincing anyone to do anything you know?" Kiran grinned. "Okay Farid, this is what you'll do."
Kiran smiled widely as she narrated the whole plan to Farid who finally smiled when she was done.
"You think it'll work?"
"Has to." Kiran smiled. "But if it doesn't, it's probably because you did it wrong," she smirked before stomping off to catch up with Rinki.

"Okay I'm tired and hungry and I want out!" Meera whined as Rahul put his hands to his ears. "Are you ignoring me?"
Rahul sighed before glancing up. "I'm not ignoring you,"
"Then?" Meera glared at him. "It's been 3 hours! It's getting dark outside. Why isn't anyone wondering where we are?"
"Because they're probably happy we're not around."
"Right." Meera groaned before walking near the door. "Help!" She banged hard on it.
"No one's going to hear you," Rahul groaned. "They're probably at the camp fire by now."
"Camp fire?" Meera's face fell. "I can't believe Aradhna didn't even bother looking for me!"
"She was eyeing Mayank a lot during the meeting; she's probably preoccupied with him like you are with me."
"Excuse me?" Meera turned and narrowed her eyes at him. "Why would you think I'm preoccupied with you? I'm only here because we're forced to be,"
Rahul rolled his eyes. "I really think you need to learn the virtue of patience."
"Uh huh?" Meera smiled sarcastically. "And are you going to teach me that virtue?"
"No," He shrugged. "I could teach you better things."
"Right," she rolled her eyes. "Like what?"
Rahul rose from the bed and made his way towards her. The lack of light in the cabin was making shadows around his face and his eyes seemed to gleam at her. "To be nicer especially when you're obviously attracted to me," Meera's mouth dropped open and Rahul nudged it closed with his fist. "No need to be shocked."
"I am not attracted to you," Meera sneered. "Please, don't flatter yourself Rahul."
"Right," Rahul smiled. "Meaning if I do this, nothing happens?" He raised his hand and trailed a finger down the side of her face.
"No," Meera sighed. "Rahul, I wanna get out of here...can we focus on that first?"
Rahul shrugged. "Whatever you want."
A clink was heard in the lock and they both froze and turned.
"What the hell are you two still doing here?" Aradhna asked as she opened the door.
"Radz!" Meera leapt over the sleeping bags and hugged her tightly. "Thank god you're here."
"Why are you both in here?" Aradhna narrowed her eyes. "Are you two making out?" her mouth dropped and she blinked innocently.
"Radz!" Meera yelped and slapped her shoulder. "You're an idiot." Rahul stood there smirking at them both. "And you wipe that smile off your face,"
Rahul shrugged. "I'm not smiling at anything to do with you."
"I'm sure," Meera glared before latching onto Aradhna's arm. "Let's go."
Aradhna inched closer to Meera as they both made their way through the dark woods. "So? What was up in that cabin?"
"Shut up," Meera glared.
"Why? The air seemed kinda hot," Aradhna snickered.
"Shut up!" Meera whined. "I'm ready to hurt you,"
"I'm your saviour; you wouldn't." Aradhna preened. "And besides, you love me!"
Meera rolled her eyes. "I'm still mad at you."
"Why?"
"Why wasn't I told about your liking for Mayank?"
"Who told you?" Aradhna gaped.
"That's the worst part," Meera groaned. "It was Rahul who had to tell me."
"Rahul? How did he find out?" Aradhna pouted.
"He said you were staring at the meeting, probably when I was glaring at Rahul," Meera grinned.
"I'm sure," Aradhna smiled. "But yes I kinda think he's sweet."
"Cute," Meera grinned as they both approached the camp fire. "What is he doing?"
The two of them narrowed their eyes on Farid who was standing with flowers in his arms, or more like he was standing amidst the flowers.
"What are you doing?" Meera asked.
"Go away!" Farid muttered. "It's for Rubina,"
"AhhâRubina," Meera grinned, "Let's go Radz,"
The two girls continued walking up and sitting on the logs around the fire even though everyone was watching Farid with wide eyes.
~*~*~*~*~*~
"I'm not in the mood Kimz," Rinki frowned. "I don't wanna go to the campfire tonight,"
"Rinki shush! Let's go. If I wanna go, you have to come,"
"Why am I even friends with you?" Rinki rolled her eyes.
"Because you love me," Kiran preened.
"Right." Rinki groaned as the light of the fire came into view.
"Awww look at all those wildflowers!" Kiran squealed. "I wonder who they're for,"
Rinki turned and saw Kiran cooing and looked back at the flowers. "You have three minutes to tell me everything now."
"I have nothing to say," Kiran smiled before rushing off to find Akki in the group of people.
Farid stepped away from the flowers and smiled weakly. "Hey,"
"Yo," Rinki shuffled her feet, thankfully that the night was dark, shielding her reddened cheeks. "What's with the flowers?"
Farid shrugged. "Do you like them?"
"Yeah, they're pretty I guess."
"Propose!" A yell was heard from the crowd.
"Is everyone staring at us?" Rinki groaned.
"Looks like it," He muttered.
"So what're the flowers for?"
"More like who. You," Farid smiled.
"Oh? On what occasion?" She raised her eyebrow.
"No occasion." He shook his head before handing her a daisy.
"Oh?" She took the flower and smiled before staring up at him. "You look nervous," she smirked. "What's up?"
"Nothing, what makes you think something's up?" Farid frowned.
Rinki rolled her eyes. "What's going on?"
Farid took a deep breath. "I'm sorry."
Rinki's eyes went wide. "You're sorry. Wait let me keep this moment in my memory. Farid, is sorry for something?! Wow. Continue," she crossed her arms.
"I'm sorry Rubina for last year." He sighed. "I behaved rudely and I was wrong in the whole going distant thing. You," He quieted his voice. "You are someone very special to me and I'm sorry for hurting you. I never meant to do anything that could hurt you."
"Okay," She walked off with the flower in hand.
"What wait, that's it?" Farid called after her.
Rinki turned back and shrugged. "What more did you want?" Without waiting for an answer she went and sat near the logs where Meera and Aradhna sat.
"That's a nice flower," Meera smiled.
Rinki turned and stared at her. "It's pretty," she agreed.
Kiran came and sat down next to Rinki. "So...what'd he say?"
Rinki smiled and started whispering happily about everything Farid said.
"He said what?" Kiran grinned. "That's so sweet,"
"Ssh! Don't tell him I think so." Rinki grinned.
"I won't," Kiran smiled. "Have you forgiven him?"
"Course!" Rinki grinned.
Farid and Akki both came and sat next to the girls and Farid put his arm around Rinki who raised her eyebrow at him.
"Did you not want me to do that?" He shrugged.
"I don't know Farid, what does your genius brain tell you?"
"It tells me that until you slap me away I'm alright."
Rinki smiled and shook her head. "You're crazy."
Meera watched them both and smiled. "Aren't they cute?" she whispered to Aradhna.
"They're adorable." Aradhna agreed. "Now where's my cutie?" She spotted Mayank on the other side of the fire and jumped up. "I'll talk to you later!"
"Radz!" Meera called out behind her. "Great," she mumbled before rubbing her hands up and down her arms in the cold. "I hate being alone."
"You wouldn't have to be," Rahul grinned as he sat down next to her.
"Shut up," Meera muttered at him.
"Why do you hate me so much?" Rahul sighed.
"Did I ever use the word hate?" Meera asked.
"You don't have to,"
Meera rolled her eyes. "Rahul, I don't hate you, Iâ"
"She's not used to the attention," Kiran interrupted.
"Kiran?" Meera and Rahul both turned and saw her smiling down at them.
"Scram!" Rahul glanced at Akki and gestured for him to take her away.
"But I want to talk to them," Kiran groaned.
"Kimz," Akki grinned. "Let's go. They're making s'mores!"
"Oooohhhh!" Kiran squealed as he led her to the table.
Meera grinned as she turned to Rahul who was still staring at her. "What?"
"Nothing," Rahul shrugged and stared into the fire.
"Rahul!" Meera frowned and nudged his shoulder. "Tell me,"
"It's nothing." He sighed.
"Rahul? That's mean," Meera frowned and crossed her arms.
"I was just thinking." He said after a few moments.
She turned to face him. "About?"
"Your eyes, the way they glisten in the fire,"
Meera smiled briefly before looking down at her hands. "Iâthanks,"
Rahul leaned over and their shoulders touched. "You're welcome. Waise, I don't mind some compliments as well you know."
Meera rolled her eyes. "I don't give them, I just like hearing them."
"Really?" Rahul smirked. "Well then you must know your smile is dazzling, and the way your eyebrows scrunch up when you're upset is too cute,"
"Rahul?" Meera grinned. "Stop!"
"Why?" Rahul smiled. "Embarrassed?"
"No," she shrugged. "I just never knew you noticed so much about me,"
Rahul scratched his neck and shook his head. "I don't."
"Uh huh, I'm sure." Meera shook her head and walked over to where Celina was standing.
Rahul smiled as he watched her. The constant glances in his direction were enough incentive for him to get up and go after her. "Why are you with this old hag?" He slipped his hand around her waist.
"Rahul," she slapped his hand away from her waist. "She'll hear you!"
"She won't if you walk away with me now," He whispered.
"Fine," She slapped his arm away again and walked back with him. "What do you want?"
"This." Rahul took her hand in his.
Meera smiled as she felt his warmth connect with hers. She had never imagined that this one day would have her feelings in for a roller coaster. First she despised him and then she didn't mind him and nowâthings had definitely changed.
