I've notice a lot of us on this forum here like reading. So why not have a DM book club for those of us who enjoy reading. 😊 Use this thread to debate and discuss books. Share your recommendations, receive recommendations from some like minded readers. Talk about why you love/hate a book and battle it out with others for your favorite book. Tell us your favorite, genres or authors. Expand your book collection and knowledge. Create top ten lists or do not bother reading lists. Discuss, themes, motifs, thematic, elements in books. Perhaps even pop a few questions related to your book report and analysis assignments.

Basically, if you love reading share your passion.

Enjoy!

Excellent! I haven't read a good book in a long, long time. In fact, I haven't done any leisure reading in a long time. Its unfortunate. I've been craving a The-Kite-Runner type novel for a long, long time now.

Have you read the Alchemist yet Ajnu? Not exactly the Kite-Runner type of book, but an endearing read about faith, love and destiny. Very simple, yet intriguing story. I think you might like it.

Actually, I have not read it. I have been recommended it before, I shall make it a point to read it though.

You should be awarded for being the brainiest person in DM...or have you already been awarded?

I love reading. It had decreased a bit due to my exam pressures, however I still enjoy reading and I love book analysis and debates. Hopefully people will put links to free e-books as well - on that way we can immediately read it.

Read it WA (I hate Anju; so I will be using 'WA'), it is one of the best book I have read so far. It deals with things to appreciate - like faith, following ones dream, etc, and the allegorical and transcendental language it uses is really noteworthy. It is a great way of time pass, for escapism, also for learning something new. Actually all of Paulo Coelho's books are a great read.

How many of you here have read: (all by Coelho)

- By the river Piedra I sat down and wept
- The Zahir
- The devil and miss Prym
- Elelven Minutes

Each book has a different theme of its own, and they are presented quite well. What I like about Coelho is the way in which he writes his books. His writing style is what turns his books from being a stupid piece of writing into such a marvellous piece of literature.
