Written Update 11 September 2009 Complete

I'd like to start the update with a moment of prayer for all those who lost their lives 8 years ago on this day in the terror attacks and their families and all who were affected by any terror attacks at any part of the world. May God bring peace and comfort to their families and may we see a better future for our children.

Sorry for the update being delayed today.

Part I

Radhika opens the temple and cleans it with water. She is preparing for the morning arti and people start o come in. She goes and opens the curtain that separates the inner temple from the outer and is shocked to see the idols missing. Everyone is perplexed and confused. Suddenly Shashtriji shows up at the temple and people come to him. Radhika tells him that the idols are missing and people ask why he is not reacting. Shashtriji says he knows the idols are not there because he took them out. People get angry and say that Shashtriji has no right to do this as even though the idols may have belonged to his grandparents, once the sthapana was done the idols belonged to the temple. They accuse Shashtriji of stealing. They leave saying that their is no God in this temple as Shashtriji has sold them. They call Sashtriji as sinner and a theif and leave. Shashtriji is silent and deafeated and walks home with Radhika.

Purohits are preparing to leave for Vrindavan and Dev comes ready to go with them. Dadi tells him where he is going? Birju says the groom cannot go and if he has any message then he will let Radhika know as he will meet her and get to talk to her for a long time. He teases Dev that he will tell Radhika that Dev is watching after the house (like a watchman). Dev is annoyed and says why he can't go and he'll be really bored alone at home. Dadi tells him to prepare the guest list and Dev says it only takes a half hour to do. Everyone laughs at him and Vivek says that he has to prepare a list of 1000 guests and by the time he is done with that it will be evening. Dev pouts (CHO CUTE). 😳

Part II

Shashtriji and Radhika come home and Devki and Amma question as to why they are back early. They notice Shashtriji's expression and question Radhika. Radhika tells them that the idols are missing and Shashtriji took the blame in front of the people. Amma and Devki are shocked and question Shashtriji why he did that. Shashtriji doesn't answer and goes into his room. Devki goes after him and asks him in private what happened. Shashtriji doesn't want to disclose so he tells her not to ask him anything as he won't lie to her and he cannot tell her the truth either. Devki tells him to share his sorrow as she is his wife but Shashtriji changes the topic and asks about the preparations. Devki says that only Chandrahaar is missing. Shashtriji is upset again and tells her not to worry and he'll arrange that too. Devki gets suspicious and is about to ask him when Shashtriji tells her not to talk about it anymore, especially in front of Radhika.

He starts to leave again and Radhika asks him where he is going and maybe he should rest as he is not looking well. Shashtriji tells her to get ready as the Purohits will be here soon and to leave all the worrying for him. After he leaves Radhika and Amma question Devki about what Shashtriji said and she tells Radhika not to worry and her father will take care of everything.


Part III

The Purohits come and Devki welcomes them. They ask for Shashtriji and she tells them he went for a pooja. Chacha taunts that Shashtriji is not there to welcome guests. Mrinu comments that he must be running around because their living is made only with these poojas and he also has to get his daughter married. They bring out Radhika dressed in a red saree and Dadi comments how pretty she is looking. Vaishali is distracted and Amma is furiously staring at Radhika.

Chacha comments that Shashtriji must not have found a way to buy the Charandrahaar that is why he is hiding his face. Devki and Radhika are upset and Radhika wonders what he is talking about. Dadi reprimands Chacha. He says he was only joking but Dadi tells him if this was his joke then there is no need to joke. They wait for Shashtriji but he is late. So Dadi says that they will start the rituals before the auspicious time passes. Deepika puts the red chunari on Radhika and the other rasams start. Mrinu comments that the rasams are almost done and Shashtriji is still not here. Amma interjects that they are poor people and have to do a lot of running around to get the Chadrahaar. Chacha comments that its not for them that they are asking but the haar will be put on their kuldevi on behalf of Shashtriji only and its an ancient rasam and not a joke. Dadi asks Devki to call the house where Shashtriji is and Devki says she doesn't have their number. Chacha says that this is very bad and unwantingly something inauspicious has happened in this wedding. Vaishali is upset and she tells Dadi that they should leave now as they don't know when Shashtriji will come.

Just as they get up Shashtriji comes home. Chacha taunts him that he wasn't able to get the chandrahaar but Shashtriji apologizes to Dadi for being late. HE then reaches into his bag and brings out a box. The Mircha gang is shocked and Dadi looks pleased. Chacha grabs the box and opens it to see the Chandrahaar and is shocked.

Precap: Dadi yells at Shashtriji for selling the ansestral idols.

poor shashtriji...how many more insults is he goign to take from these good for nothing people including his own mother....she should be ashamed of herself for trying to look her own son bad in front of guests. Old hag, makes me so mad.

Why do they even bother to bring this chacha along when all he talks is negative things. I really don't like this storyline. Insult after insult!

Thanks JC for the update. Having experienced the loss of loved one on 9/11 ghastly incident.......I want to pray for others too who have gone through so much........ May God be all of them...........and bless their souls.
