Rahul's elimination was expected this week.

I can not say how he became Bangla winner as I did not follow the competetion and have not seen a single episode of it. But in LC 2009, He was not able to perform very well - , may be he was tired from recent Bangla SRGMP. not sure.

Rahul's main problem is his voice. He has a delicate voice and does not have the throw required for today's kind of songs. I feel he will be better off if he sings old song. I am not sure how the format of Bangla Saregamapa is but in Marathi Saregamapa, the emphasis is on singing the all time great songs, most of which are from the 60s to 80s. These songs are quite different from today's Bollywood songs. Even if a participant has been good at singing those types of songs, it will not be easy to adapt to today's Bollywood songs. Rahul may have been good at Bangla songs but was not cut ouf for Bollywood music.

Abhijit Srivastava was criticised heavily a week before he was eliminated (before that the judges were reaping praises on him). Going by the same trend, it seems that the judges now seem to have trained their guns on Prateeksha with some criticism in the last episode. I have an eerie feeling she's will be shown the door on 11-Sep. None of the remaining participants have faced any type of criticism during the last few episodes.

So called suspicious lots.. who never stop watching reality shows but never belives in it is genuine. Always moaning..

First off, I would like to congratulate this whole forum for a definite achievement. For the first time this whole season, I watched the show without knowing who was being eliminated. I must say that I had forgotten what it feels like to "not know" ahead of time. Its a good feeling, and at times, we all need it. Of course, knowing it was Rahul Dutta made my heart jump with joy (chowwy 😳), but of course, I wish him well for the future and hope that this season the voters will get it right!

So again, thanks to MB for the spoiler, and thank you to everyone else for not spoiling it for others!
