Written Update 13th August 2009
Shastriji crosses Deepika, Arjun and Chacha on the way out. Chacha asks him why is he standing by the door like that, were you going? Shastriji nods and Chacha motions him to leave. He asks Dadi and Vaishali why was Shastriji here. Is it not enough that his daughter has ruined us. Vaishali hesitates, but then Dadi pipes in that Shastriji had come to tell them about Janmasthami preparations and that Guruji wanted that the pooja be done in his presence. Chacha agrees to it and says as you think right and leaves. Vaishali says we will have to tell everyone. Dadi disagrees and says let me find out how Dev feels about this, then only we will tell everyone else.
Devki is cleaning rice in a plate and is lost in her thoughts. She spills the rice on the floor instead of inside the container. Radhika notices it and calls Devki, who snaps out of it. She picks up the rice. Shastriji reaches home and calls Devki. She tells Radhika to put the rice back and goes to him. She offers him some water to refresh. She is eager to learn what has happened. But just when he is about to tell Devki, Aama reaches there and asks where had he been, and why had he reached home late. Shastriji avoids the question and asks whether she has eaten. Aama says she has already and that he should eat too as it is late and asks Devki to serve his food. Shastriji is eating and Devki is tensed with Aama around. As soon as she leaves, she asks Shastriji to tell her what has happened. Radhika comes there to bring him some rotis, halting the conversation once again.
The Purohits are gathered in the living room. Chacha wants to address everyone on an important issue. He says that without his wife, Dev will not be able to sit for the pooja for Janmasthami nor for the havan, and hence he says to let Arjun and Deepika perform the rituals like they did before. So many people are coming from afar to assist the pooja, we cannot let them down. Not only that but once we are back we should reconsider the issue of Dev being the Raj Purohit. We cannot let someone be the Raj Purohit whose wife has run away.
Chacha says it is my personal view, now it is up to you. I am a devotee of God and hence will say the truth without any fear. Dadi answers that Janmasthami's pooja will be performed by Dev only. Chacha, Arjun and Mrinalini are disappointed. Dadi continues and says you will not speak to Dev about this and hurt him. She says if he will be humiliated at every step, he will be totally broken. Chacha retaliates but what about customs, the pooja and the rituals. Suddenly Dev comes there, halting the conversation. She says go freshen up, Birju will serve him his food. Chacha chides, now only Birju will serve him his food, his wife is not there to wait for him. Dadi rebukes Chacha. Chacha says we are talking about Dev's pain, as his pain is ours also. Mrinalini is happy watching the tamasha. Vaishali is tensed. Dev gets upset and tells Birju to let it be as he is not hungry. Mrinalini adds her bit and says you must be very tired, as you now have to do everything alone. Choti Bahu is no longer there to help you out. Dadi retorts Radhika was there to help out and even Shastriji has taken on responsibilities for the preparations. I don't think Dev had to face any troubles at all. She tells Dev to go to his room, she will send it to his room.
Devki comes in the room to Shastriji and tells him to tell her quickly what has happened. What have they said? Where they angry? Who were there? Shastriji says only Dev's mother and Dadi. I talked to them only. Devki asks what then. He says as expected they were surprised and shocked but then I explained to them. They still seemed confused and hesitant, hence I told them to think about it only then decide. Let us see what happens next, he tells her to pray to God that they will accept our proposal.
Dadi comes in Dev's room and is looking for him. She tells him to sit. She says even if you not hungry have some prasad. You've had to handle everything alone there for Janmasthami preparations. Dev says I was not alone, so many people were helping me.

Dev says I did not face any problems. Dadi says Radhika is very hardworking nah. She handles so many work alone and that too with a smile always on her face. She never complains at all. Every time I meet her I think she is such a nice girl,family-oriented, responsible, but how can she be all that. I was relieved on hearing that Radhika was there to help out for the Janmasthami's pooja preparations. She has helped you out a lot, hasn't she? Dev agrees, and says that with Radhika being there, all the preparations went well. She has decorated everything herself from the adornment of Kanha's murti, to the podium without resting once. It did not feel like it was work for her but rather part of her bhakti. She does not live for herself, but rather spends every moment living for others. Dadi says okay you must be tired, have some rest. Vaishali is tensed in her room. Dadi comes to her. She asks Dadi whether she has spoken to Dev. She answers that she has not spoken marriage, but I tried to understand his thoughts. Vaishali asks what happened. Dadi answers that he respects Radhika a lot, but says we must not forget that he has loved Vishaka and hence has married her. Vaishali hearing this is uncomfortable. She asks what have you decided. Dadi answers I do not know what to decide, in this situation it is very difficult to come to a conclusion.
Shastriji is pacing in the verrandah. Devki comes to him and says to go and sleep. Shastriji says he is worried what will be there answer tomorrow. Devki replies that tomorrow is Janmasthami and on this day Kanha will not let down his biggest bhakt. He will bestow this much happiness to her. They become tensed suddenly seeing the Purohit's car coming and Dadi getting down.
Part 4
Dadi and Vaishali walk up to Devki and Shastriji. They greet them and asks how come they are here this late. Shastriji asks them to come inside, but Dadi says they are fine here only. Vaishali says they have come to tell their decision. Dadi says we thought a lot about what you have said, it was difficult to come to a decision, we had to consider a lot of things, but we have decided that Dev and Radhika's marriage should happen. Devki and Shastriji are relieved. Dadi says but there is problem. She says I have not mentioned this proposal of marriage to Radhika to Dev yet. I have only tried to understand his feelings and thoughts. I got the feeling that he respects Radhika a lot, but he loved Vishaka and married her only. Devki looks down at that. This is why I could not understand how to bring this up to him. Shastriji says it was my proposal and hence I will talk to him only. If God wishes, then he will agree to it and then only I will ask Radhika and if Kanha's wishes it, then this marriage will happen. Dadi says if that happens, then I will consider this Janmasthami, the best of my life. They show Radhe-Krishna murti.
Precap: Shastriji is telling Aama who is shocked that I have taken my decision. I am resolute. I will talk to Dev babu.
