* I don't make animated work.
* Please post request here instead of PMing me. If your request is of a personal or private nature, you can PM me.
* While making your request here, please also post clear and undistorted images that you want me to use. If the images are hi-res (for a greeting card or for a gift or edited photo that you want to print), you may email them to me (PM me for my email address).
* Please send me the text you would like on the sig, but keep it short if possible. If you have a specific colour or theme in mind, please tell me that before I make the sig rather than after!
* Please give me adequate turnaround time.
* There is a request limit of 2 sigs or banners per month, per person.
* I may turn down a request if I feel it violates my sense of ethics or aesthetics. Simple enough, I can't spend hours working on something if I feel it is vulgar, distasteful, or unethical. Don't take it personally, please!Note: I no longer take requests of a nationalist nature (i.e. Indian or Pakistani independence day, or any kind of national pride signatures including Canada, America, etc.). I am not interested in borders, just the people between them. Again, no offense.

If you want to use some of the designs or textures as part of your own original work, feel free to do so! 😳 (and I would love to see what you have made, especially if something here inspired you!), but please don't just copy/paste the designs and pass them off as your own.
It takes hours for a designer to produce a piece of work, and while it is a huge compliment if someone else spends time on our creations to alter or improve upon them, it really sucks if someone simply copies our work without the effort involved.
I use Adobe Photoshop. Many comprehensive and easy-to-understand Photoshop tutorials and resources are available for free online! If you are looking for a free, open source software, try GIMP.
If you require further assistance, check out the Tutorials section in this forum for incredible resources put together by our fellow IF members.
Also try the the editing tool available in TinyPic, which you can use on your browser (no need to use separate software). There is also a photo editing site called Photofunia where you can upload photos and produce neat effects. Both of these are extremely easy to use.
For textures, I go to deviantART. I get my Photoshop brushes from Brusheezy. Last but not the least, Flickr is a fantastic resource for images. I take creative commons very seriously, and have only tried to use resources in a manner acceptable to the original artists. I have made an effort to download only the resources that allow free range in non-commercial use. If by mistake I have used any brushes or textures or fonts that are not acceptable for non-commercial use, please PM me and I will rectify the situation immediately.
