Hello everyone! 😃 Yes this is another one shot, I was in the mood to write a fun kinda one, and it was semi inspired by the friends episode called, "The One Where Ross Can't Flirt," Anyways, I hope both of my friends in it enjoy it! 😃
"We are not ordering pizza again just so you can see him again," A girl slammed down the phone in her apartment. "It's insane!"
"Oh come on Shabo! Please? I mean he's adorable!" Another girl picked the phone up again.
"Ravs, you never have the courage to even speak to him when he shows up. You just ogle and then hand him the money PLUS a ginormous tip and watch him walk down the hallway. If you at least had the guts to talk to him—different story," Shabo shrugged as she walked into the kitchen pantry to get something to cook.
"No! I want pizza!" Ravz pouted. "I'm calling," She smirked as she hit speed dial '5' and held the phone to her ear. "Hi, Yeah, I want to order a large pizza." She rattled off the toppings and their address and crossed her fingers after she hung up, praying that the same cute delivery boy would show up.
Ever since they had first ordered pizza nearly a month ago, Ravjot had been smitten by the boy who delivered their pizza. She knew nothing about him except that he was adorable and she wanted to get to know him. Initially Shabo loved teasing her about it, but by now, she was annoyed; just because she wanted Ravjot to do something about it and now she had the perfect way for that to happen.
"Umm Ravs,"
"Yes?" Ravz rolls her eyes before turning her attention to Shabo who was busy playing with Tommy, their dog, on the floor. Well actually Tommy was Ravs dog, but ever since they became roommates, Shabo staked her claim on the dog as well.
"I have an idea,"
"That worries me, but shoot." Ravs laughed.
"I bet you that you can't get the cute delivery boy to ask for your number AND AND AND...if I win, then no more ordering pizza unless we both agree on it, and if I lose—well then lucky you?" Shabo offered.
"Sounds like a deal," Ravs says as she shook her hand. "You know what would help?"
"What?"
"If I even knew his name!" she laughed.
Shabo grinned to herself. There was no way she'd lose this bet now. Ravjot would never be able to say more than two words to the guy. 'Yes' and 'thank-you,'
A little while later when the doorbell rang, Ravjot jumped up and ran to the door, while Shabo sat on the couch facing the door, clearly amused.
"Wipe that grin off your face," Ravjot glared as she quickly smoothed the bottom of her t-shirt. She sighed before she opened the door wide.
"Pizza delivery?"
She literally felt her heart stop as she laid her eyes on him. His soft hair was falling over his forehead and she had an urge to brush it away, but her eyes moved lower to his eyes and saw them twinkling at her while his mouth was up in a cute grin.
She nodded quickly as she got her wallet. She couldn't do this. There was something about that smile that made her loose her every thought. "Ho—how much?"
"14.75, without tip," he added, giving her another smile.
She smiled back weakly and quickly read his name tag. Yug, That was a nice name. She could even hear their names together as she counted out the right amount. Yug and Ravjot. It would look nice on their wedding cards. She shook herself out of her dream world before glancing at him again. "Here's 17 dollars," she smiled as she handed him the money. She saw his eyes light up a bit knowing that he was getting more than the customer 10% tip. "I, uh wanted to ask you something," she whispered to him.
"What?" He leaned closer making her breathing accelerate.
"I...would you quickly just ask for my number?" she smiled weakly again. "I know it's weird. I just really need to win a bet with my friend," She whispered again. "Don't worry. You don't have to call me or anything. I can just give you a fake number."
"Ssh!" he grinned back. "I know it's weird, but I've actually been wanting to ask you for your number from a long time. I just—uhh, was too shy."
Ravjot's eyes went wide as she took in what he just said. HE wanted to ask HER? But HE was too SHY? He was exactly like her, without the nagging friend of course.
Shabo could see Ravs hand still on the door and Yug was looking at her with a peculiar smile on his face and so she knew it was time to step in. "Hi, I'm Shabo. This is Ravjot. And she'd love to give you her number. Yes I eavesdropped on your conversation but only because I was concerned about my friend, anyways this is her number since she looks too shell shocked to say anything. It's 416-458-4575. She'll wait for your call." Shabo grinned as she walked back to her spot on the couch.
Ravjot was still surprised at the sequence of events, first she was surprise that she actually had the nerve to say more than two words to him, then the fact that he wanted to ask her for her number and then of course Shabo's interference topped it all. "I—uhh I'll wait for your call," she smiled at Yug who smiled back.
"Thanks—uhh to you and your friend,"
Ravz grinned. "She's like that. You'll get used to it."
"Bye Ravjot," He turned to leave. "That's a really pretty name by the way,"
"Thanks Yug," She smiled timidly. "I like your name too,"
He waved as he disappeared down the hall and Ravjot shut the door only to fall back and lean on it. "I would hate you right now if that went bad." She narrowed her eyes at Shabo who giggled.
"But it didn't go bad so shush and bring that pizza." She winked as she and Ravjot both sat on the couch to have their pizza and laugh over what had just happened. Who would have thought a silly dare would lead to such a good thing for Ravs?
How was it? 😳 Rinkz liked it, so if it sucked....blame her! 😉😳
