I wasn't planning on writing this one but as soon as I read the idea posted by a certain someone, I had to write it for her! 😃 Hope you like it Rinkz! 😃😳

"I told Kimz not to drop me off here. I rather would have taken the bus home; but no, why would she listen when Akki's on the phone with her." Rubina shakes her head as she uses her purse to cover her head. "I hate rain," she pouts as she gets ready to walk the four blocks to her apartment building. She starts walking along the grassy path to a park she always visits in the rain just to stand by the gazebo when her heel gets caught and she almost stumbles backward.
"Whoops. Are you alright?" A voice asks from behind as one hand supports her by the waist.
She stands up straight and turns around, shielding her face from the rain as she stares up to her savior.
"I saw that you were going to fall and so I wanted to help," He explains himself.
Rinki slowly shakes her head. "Thank you,"
He gives a heart stopping smile and turns around. Rinki watches as he stops and turns to face her again. She stares at him stunned as he comes and hands her his umbrella. "You need this more than me," He winks at her before leaving again.
Rinki didn't know what had happened. This stranger just came and gave her an umbrella and she found herself wishing she had said something more flirty or witty rather than a boring 'thank you.' She'd probably never meet him again and she had blown her chances completely.
Dejectedly she heads towards her apartment building.

Days past and Rinki found herself constantly staring at the umbrella that was sitting in the front lobby. She was dying for another rainy day just so she could go out and use his umbrella again. It gave her a feeling of him being nearby. She really surprised herself sometimes; dreaming about some stranger she didn't know anything about. No name, no address, nothing. She shook her head and got dressed for work.
"No Kimz, I don't want a ride today," Rinki said as she pulled a piece of toast from the toaster before walking out the door. "Yes I know it's raining... Wait! It's raining?" Rinki ran to a window in the lobby towards the elevator and saw that the rain was pouring. Something inside her stirred and she felt that today was the day she'd see him again. Her rainy stranger. She runs back to her apartment and grabs the umbrella before joyfully heading to work.

Rinki holds her the closed umbrella in her hand as she walks home feeling completely broken down. The minute she had gotten downstairs the rain had stopped and she was forced to walk without her umbrella and now even on the way home the rain was nowhere to be seen. She kept walking until she passed the same park with the gazebo that she had seen him before and just as she stepped onto the grass she felt a light drizzle on her head and looked up to see that the skies had opened up and the rain was beginning to fall faster. She happily opened 'his' umbrella and walked towards the gazebo when she got there she saw a lone shadow standing at one corner.
A weird ache in her heart told her it was him but she decided to put her doubts to a rest as she walks slowly onto the grassy path. As her heels clack on the wet wood the stranger turns and Rinki's heart jumps in place. "You!" She said happily.
He gave her another earth shattering smile before replying. "I've been waiting here for you every day."
For her? Was he serious? Did he already feel a weird sense of attachment to her like she did for him? "You...you were?"
He smiles before beckoning her closer. "Yeah, I needed my umbrella,"
"Oh.." The smile fades from Rinki's face as she walks closer to the stranger. Maybe the feelings she felt for him weren't what she had hoped they'd be. If she didn't matter to him—he shouldn't matter to her.
The stranger senses her change in mood and walks towards her. "Besides, with the excuse of getting my umbrella, I could meet you as well,"
Rinki turns and sees him standing right next to her and smiles back. "I've been waiting for it to rain."
"I'm Preet,"
"I'm Rubina, but my friends call me Rinki,"
He grins and she feels her heart skip another beat. This was something I've got to get used to,
"I think Rinki's a cute name," He leans closer to her and whispers.
Rinki's cheeks felt hot instantly and she smiles at the rain. This was the first time she felt so shy around a guy. This gave her the feeling that maybe this strange meeting could lead to something more.
"You know what I love doing in rain?" He asks.
Rinki shakes her head. "What?"
"Having hot coffee with a gorgeous girl," He winks at her. "Want to give me company?"
Rinki nods. "Let's go," She smiles as she holds up the umbrella as the both of them walk towards the nearest coffee shop. There was something about this guy that gave her the feeling she was always meant to fall in love with the rain and everything that came with it.
Rinkz...I hope I did justice to it! 😳 😛 Thanks to Bhav for editing it for me! 😃 *hugs*
Love,
