It was the first time he had seen her...her gorgeous big chocolate eyes looked up into his boring brown ones, questioning his actions. The way he saw a flash of her pink dupatta rushing down the stairs, a tug came at his heart and he knew he had to go to the stairs to find out what's wrong and that's when she fell into his arms.

Who was he? Why did it feel like she was MEANT to fall into his arms only? The way she thought she was going to crack her skull against the ceramic tile and then was thrilled to find herself being hoisted into someone's arms. 'Strong arms,' she corrected herself mentally. His eyes kept looking into hers and she couldn't help but become distracted with counting all the different colors in them. They weren't just brown, there were little gold flecks along with green and all that enticed her.

"Umm, thank you." She whispered slowly, hoping he would get the hint and let her up from his arms.

"You're welcome," His husky voice tingled her spine. She had never heard a voice quite like this one. Technically she had never been in situation quite like this, where her cheeks burned from contact and she was actually blushing being in the presence of a guy.

"Can you let go now please?" She asked, her voice making his heart beat faster.

"Oh I'm so sorry," The trance broke and he realized that he was still holding her or rather he was cradling her in his arms.

He pulled her closer towards him, letting himself once again get lost in those eyes. The innocence that was there, took over his heart. He had never seen another girl looking so beautiful and yet quite so simple at a wedding before. His best friend Mayank was marrying the love of his life, Aradhna.

But right now all that seemed futile to him, except he should thank the both of them for letting him meet this girl who he was now besotted with. There was nothing else that matter more.

She quietly turned the corner but not before quickly letting her eyes travel in his direction as she saw him gazing after her, a bright smile formed at her mouth and she saw an exact replica of that smile on his face and knew it was true; he was effected by the same thing she was. Love at first sight.

The way she had came like a flower floating towards him; she left his heart in turmoil. There was something about her that drew him to her. That bright smile on her face when she turned back at him helped him realize—it wasn't just him who was completely besotted in the first meeting.

He collapsed on the same stairs he had caught her at two hours ago. He had searched the entire house but she was nowhere to be seen and of course at a wedding every other girl was dressed in pink. He buried his head in his hands not wanting to think about how many girls he had just apologized to.

Suddenly another tug came in his heart and he looked up and from the top of the banister railing he saw her. She was smiling with Aradhna, and musing over something that had both of them laughing, till tears were coming out of their eyes. He wanted to go to her, to talk to her, find out her name. But he wasn't sure if it was the right time.

She had a sudden urge to look down, but knew that once Radz got talking about her darling Mayank—she wouldn't stop, casually she turned and leaned her arms against the railing, but then felt her heart slam against her chest. He was right there, smiling up at her.

His hair was slightly tousled as if he had ran his hand through it a few too many times. She mentally hit herself for noticing all this minute details about him but then realized—this was the first time she had ever felt like this about anyone. What kind of magic did he hold over her heart? Why did her heart ache to be with him? Was this the feeling her friends often talked about. Your heart not wanting to be with you but wanting to be near someone else; someone more dear?

"Hey," his husky voice again made her spine tingle down to her toes. She didn't know how much more of this anxiousness around him she could take.

"I'm sorry about before," She made the courage to look up into his eyes again and couldn't help but smile.

"If you didn't come stampeding down—how would we have met? In such a wonderful way?" The way he said those words made her feel immediately at ease.

He was just as casual as she hoped he'd be.

"I'm Shabo," She put her hand out for a handshake.

"I'm Preet," He took her hand and raised it to his mouth, letting a small kiss drop on the back of her palm.
