As Prem walked around in the huge garden he took in the surroundings and he could just feel Heer's presence around him.
This was what she was to him. Purity, and just glorious in her whole way.

What happened between them now? All of these stupid things couldn't ruin their relation could they? He had tried to tell her about Ashlesha's truth the minute he found her alone.
But she was the one who refused to listen. He wanted her to know he was innocent.

Deep down he always knew he wasn't capable of doing something so disgraceful but at that time 6 years ago he had no proof or no way to get Heer to stop and listen to his thoughts.

He heard the sound of birds chirping above him and so he looked up and shielded his eyes as he looked directly into the sun but right there, standing at one of the balcony's in the hotel he saw Heer.
Looking like an ethereal angel but then he saw the sweeter tinier angel with her. His Chahat. He was jealous, no doubt about it. He saw them both smiling and laughing together when he wished he could be there with them.
After all wasn't he family? Wasn't he Heer's husband? His Chahat's father? He wanted to be with them where he rightfully belonged.

He sighed as he stood up from the bench. There was no use wishing over something he had no control over. He could plead with Heer as much as he wanted but Heer refused to even stand in the same room with him now.
Prem couldn't understand why though. He still saw the same love in her eyes that he saw 6 years ago when she had left him. Sure she was disappointed but that didn't mean her love for him diminished at all.
He knew for a fact his love had grown stronger for her through this 6 years. He would long to see her eyes shine at him surrounded by her long eyelashes. See her bright teasing smile or just to inhale her floral scent.
There were many times that Prem stood alone in his office and just closed his eyes and pretended his wife was near him; but now that she was, what use was it if she wouldn't listen?

Was she even his anymore? He couldn't stack a claim on her anymore if she refused to look at him now. He walked into the hotel and saw her again walking hand in hand with Chahat. Their daughter.

He would just look at his daughter's big innocent eyes and every worry in the world would fade away. She could just smile and Prem would feel 10 years younger with her again.
He had one last chance. He needed to show Heer what she and their daughter meant to him.
"Heer," He called out across the lobby.
He saw her shoulders stiffen as she realized who had called her. Slowly her back turned to face him and she had a fear in her eyes and he wanted to help ease that pain away. Any emotion in Heer's eyes other than happiness was wrong. She deserved everything but pain and hurt.

He was surprised as she tightened her grip on Chahat as she walked towards him.
"Kya hain Prem?" She had asked.
He heard exhaustion in her voice and glanced down as Chahat glanced from one parent to the other.
"Main nahin chatha ke tum jao," He said softly.
"Kyun?" Heer asked. "Bahot ho chukka hain Prem humari zindagi mein ab—ab main nahin bardasht kar sakhti," With that Heer started tearing up and Chahat was shaking with tears too just like any daughter would who saw her mother in tears.
Prem swept her up into his arms and threw his other hand around Heer who was completely vulnerable and feeling Prem's protective arm around her after so many years was something Heer could not take.

Her tears fell faster as he urged her to stop. "Ssh Heer. Main hoon? Hum hamesha saath rahenge,"
She paused long enough to look into his eyes. "Aisa kyun hua Prem?"
Prem sighed. This was the same question he'd been asking God every night for 2190 nights.
"Shayad woh humari imthihaan le raha tha. Lekin ab sab theek hain na?" He leaned his lips to her forehead and lightly kissed it before turning his attention back to Chahat. "Thank you beta,"
"Kisliye Uncle?" Chahat asked.
Prem smiled until Heer interrupted. "Uncle nahin Chahat. Papa kaho," Heer smiled back at Prem. "Yeh tumhare papa hain,"
"Sach?" Chahat's face lit up as she kissed both of Prem's cheeks. "I missed you papa,"
"I missed you too beta," He smiled at both of them again. He finally found his family again. These were the people that kept him alive all these years and now he'd do everything to make sure he had them for the rest of his life.
