The Village Idiot

Radhika has become the village idiot, the biggest village idiot that I have seen, who stands for absolutely nothing.

I see nothing nice or noble about her. She twists facts, figures and even Kanha to serve her ends and whatever is fed to her by anyone. In essence, she basically hallucinates and is completely out of touch with reality.

I do not think there is anything admirable or honest about her. I would stay as far away as possible from such an unprincipled individual, who has no idea about the difference between right and wrong.

Wake up Zee! Indians did not struggle though independence and the British yoke, only to come so thoroughly under the yoke of individuals such as Amma, Devki, Vishaka, Purab, Mrinalini, Vaishali, Vivek and ....I supposed Zee will bring in even more depraved individuals soon.

I don't think she is an Idiot, shes just trying to balance her commitment, grace and duties toward her family and Dev.She is performing rituals despite, she knows that she is more vulnerable to be commented.

I agree with you Bantam, there is nothing remotely decent about Radika's character, she is nothing but a liar. One can still be balance duty and commitment, but it does not mean one has to be a liar, after all, just how is Shastri and the Purohit family supposed to re-act when then find out that the sindoor she wears is not for kanha but dev..............does she hope that everyone will just forgive her, for crying out loud she is deceiving society in the name of GOD, so one really has to ask was is the difference between a doungi sadhu and radika, both use God's name for their own selfish ways.

What is really annoying that the story revolves around that "Sau choohe khaake, billi chali Haj ko"-- which loosely translates that a person committing indecent and immoral acts believes that their sins will be wiped away if they pray to God. Once or twice is ok, but when it becomes a habit, then it seems that the person is ridiculing religion. Radhika's characted continually lies and hurts other people through her actions, but pretends to be good because she prays. I may not pray as much as she does, but good grief-- I consider myself almost a saint compared to her tactics!
