just married a few days ago and she is not in a position to answer this question but the old man tells her that looking at her great knowledge and intelligence she should be able to do so. However, Ratan then answers the question for Padmini and says when I married Padmini I did not consult my first wife, this leaves everyone shocked especially Gora. He looks at Padmini with concern but Padmini continues to look calm and continues holding Ratan's hand.

The old lady and Chandraprabha are walking down the street. They pass through different lanes. They also walk past a cluster of soldiers. Chandraprabha holds the old lady's arm. Chandraprabha tries to walk away quickly but the old lady gestures her to walk very calmly as it would look very obvious. As they are walking, we suddenly see them from someone's point of view. It looks like someone who is on a horse, riding behind them not paying specific attention to them. The person seems to be observing everything on the road. They come to a turning and a temple is seen on the left. As soon as Chandraprabha sees it, she spontaneously joins her hands prays to god! The person behind them riding on the horse spots this action and stops. It is the officer; he looks furious but gets a crude smile on his face.

Then the old man asks Padmini one last question that if a time came for either Ratan Singh's first wife's son or her son to become king who should be given the opportunity. To that, Padmini says Nagmati's son and Ratan Singh agrees. When Gora asks him who Yashovardhan is, he says straightforwardly my first wife's son.  Gora is totally shattered to hear this. He is furious with this sort of treachery!

A troop of horses come in front of Chandraprabha and the old lady who are in the burkha. Both the old lady and Chandraprabha look stunned to see the officer and his gang infront of them come from no where. The officer tells them that no Muslim lady would bow to a temple as we don't believe in worshipping idols and forms, saying that he takes out his sword and unveils her Burkha. A mean smile appears on the officer's face as he sees Chandraprabha. His mother tells him to let her go but he does not listen to her. He tells her to be grateful that he caught her and not anyone else. He then tells Chandraprabha that she was lucky that he caught his mother with her, because if she was caught alone then she might have not been spared. Chandraprabha asks him what he is waiting for and to just kill her. The officer is shocked with that approach. He asks the soldiers to catch hold of her and take her to Khiljee's darbaar!

Gora is shocked to hear about Ratan's wife and child. He is fuming with anger. Padmini sees that and by gestures, she tells Gora to calm down and take it easy. Gora looks at the old man and somehow manages to control his anger. The old man on hearing Ratan Singh and Padmini's answers and their honesty, is very impressed with the two of them. He praises them, blesses them and wishes them a happy married life together. He also mentions to Padmini that her husband will be by her side until she takes her last breath. Both Ratan and Padmini are surprised to hear this statement but they quietly move out of his hut and towards the base camp. All are on their horses going back to the base camp. Gora looks immensely angry and at one point confronts Ratan Singh and asks him why he lied to everyone in Sinhal Dweep, he tells him that his sister and brother in law trusted him so much but all he did was lie to them. Before Ratan Singh can give him an explanation Padmini tells Gora that Ratan Singh had told her everything about his wife and child before they got married, leaving Ratan and Gora shocked. She also says that she is honored to have Ranaji as her husband and she is in safe hands. When Gora leaves looking convinced, Ratan asks Padmini how she knew about Yashovardhan because he had not told her about him. Padmini just tells him that everything related to his past is now her present and future and Yashovardhan is her son from now on. Ratan is very happy to hear that. But he still finds Padmini looking worried, when he asks her what is worrying her she tells him that the statement the old man made in the end has got her thinking. So they decide to go back to speak to the old man again and ask him what he exactly meant.

In Chittod, we see a small child running about here and there with several servants running behind him unable to catch him. He then jumps on a wall. Suddenly he hears a flute playing and stops there looking very mesmerized. Just then, someone catches hold of him and brings him down. When the child looks to see who it is, we see Chetan Raghav standing infront of him. The child is amused when he sees the flute in his hand, he first asks him who he is and then asks him what he is playing. Chetan Raghav tells him who he is and tells him about the flute. Chetan tells him that if he fell down from the wall his mother would be very upset but the child says that his father would be even more upset. At that time, we see a wicked smile on Chetan's face because he realizes that he has another interpersonal relationship to manipulate. He then tells Yashovardhan that he is his father's friend that means he is his friend too and asks him what gift he would like to have.

Ratan and Padmini reach the same spot where they encountered the holy man; but what they can see is the desert stretched for miles and not a soul to be seen. The old hut is missing too. Both Ratan and Padmini look confused. They just see the remains of the Laxman Rekha drawn by the holy man. Both Padmini and Ratan exchange horrified looks.

Padmini queen but he tells her that Ratan Singh was the one who called her queen and he is just telling her what Ratan Singh told him too. Nagmati then calms down and only raising her voice asks him if he saw Padmini and to look at her in the mirror and say whether Padmini is more beautiful than she is. The spy looks down very scared and when Nagmati yells at him he looks up and hesitantly tells her that she is more beautiful than Padmini. However, Nagmati has a subtle smile on her face, as she knows he is lying and asks one of her maids to call Chetan Raghav.

Chetan Raghav is seen sitting with Yashovardhan and having a conversation with him. Yashovardhan asks him if he will really teach him how to paint before his father comes from Chittod. He also asks Chetan when his father will come, Chetan tells him that he will come very soon and bring a gift for him from there too. Yashovardhan forces him to tell him what gift. At first, Chetan Raghav doesn't say anything but on Yashovardhan's insistence, he says that he will tell him what the gift is if he draws it, Yashovardhan agrees. Chetan starts describing Padmini in such a way that the child won't understand the under tone of Padmini in it. We don't show what the child has drawn. Just then, the maid Nagmati sent comes there and tells him that Nagmati has called him immediately. Chetan asks Yashovardhan to continue and leaves form there with a cunning smile.

Chetan Raghav is seen sitting in front of a white canvas. Nagmati orders the spy to describe Padmini. As he starts describing Padmini, Chetan Raghav starts drawing on the canvas. As the painting gets complete, Chetan has a mysterious smile on his face. Simultaneously, we see Yashovardhan sketching very carefully.

Back at the base camp Ratan Singh is in his tent looking really happy after the first night. He is all alone and looks out for Padmini. Suddenly one of the flaps of the tent opens and Padmini enters. Her attire has totally changed. She has covered herself like a Rajput princess. Ratan not believing what he sees gets up and as she comes closer, he quickly holds her. He raises her Ghunghat. Padmini does not make any eye contact. He holds her face in his hand and makes her look at him. Ratan Singh tells her that she never fails to surprise him. Every time he sees a different Padmini. He asks her who told her about putting the Ghunghat. She says her mother told her about the different culture of Chittod in comparison to Sinhal Dweep and how she has to learn to adapt to them. She tells him that this is only her first step towards learning the customs and traditions of Chittod. Ratan just hugs her on hearing that.

As Chetan finishes the painting he begins to laugh, when Nagmati asks Chetan why he is laughing, Chetan tells Nagmati to come and see what he has painted when she sees the painting she realizes that the spy described her and not Padmini with the fear of loosing his life. But getting scared of Nagmati when the spy begins to tell the truth he says that he has never seen anyone more beautiful than Padmini. Nagmati gets very angry and calls her guards asking them to behead him. However, Chetan Raghav tells her not to displace the anger she has for someone else onto the spy and also tells her that according to him the fun of enjoying authority is when you actually attain it. Nagmati understanding what he means and without loosing her cool just orders for the spy's eyes to be removed and most importantly orders to keep him alive. Just as the spy who is crying for forgiveness is being taken out, Yashovardhan comes in and is shocked to see this but Chetan Raghav quickly turns Yashovardhan. Chetan Raghav then sees something in Yashovardhan's hand, when Nagmati realizes it too and asks him what it is he tells her he has a surprise for her. He asks Nagmati to close her eyes and she does so. He slowly takes the canvas in front of her and asks Nagmati to open her eyes. She sees a vague woman's figure drawn. He tells her that this is the surprise his dad is getting all of them. Nagmati is devastated when she realizes he has drawn Padmini.  She asks him who told him about this and immediately realizes it herself and looks at Chetan who has disappeared.

Episode 18
June 23

However, to everyone's surprise, both Padmini and Ratan remain unaffected and the line just a centimeter away from them keeps on fuming. Both of them come and sit in front of the old man. The holy man looks impressed. He says that he has never seen a couple of this stature before. He also says that they are not only brave but also good at heart.  However, he tells them that they will still have to answer his questions and for every wrong answer, he will break a jar of water. Ratan agrees. The old man begins to ask him women oriented questions and Ratan Singh answers the first one successfully.

In Khiljee's darbar, Khiljee keeps putting down women in a conversation with Khusro. Khusro is shocked and tells him that women have such a high stature that there have been several wars that have been fought because of them, he even. Khiljee counters him by saying that women are just objects of desire who have been born to carry on the family name and nothing more. Khusro cannot believe his ears; he asks Khiljee if he is not afraid of god when he says things like that. Khiljee tells him that he is god himself. He tells Khushro that he is the kind who is not afraid of god too because if he was he would have been afraid of him. Khiljee also tells Khushro that god only forgives the mighty ones and not the weaklings and the reason he is being forgiven by him is because he always debates with him and in the end it is he who wins making him happy.

Jiya, Jiya, Jiya. Where have you been? Do you know how much your updates have been needed?!

Just quickly read through them to catch up on the dialogues I didn't understand. The scenes and dates seemed to be mixed up. You got these from a site or something?

That's quite worrying actually as SET is supposed to be the most reliable webbie for this show.

Hmm, maybe I should send them an email highlighting that it's quite important that they get the facts right. It's not as if it's subtly done is it? What do you guys think?
