I am Smita Shetty. Very much new to this forum. Infact i can hardly be called a viewer of this serial dill mill gayee as its my daughter and niece wo watch it and till now i was just aware of a program called dill mill gayee coming on star one channel which neither my daughter nor niece would miss. ANd there was some certain Armaan and Atul in the serial about whom my daughter keeps raving. She loves those two characters.
I hadnt really taken a keen interest as i barely have time but recently meeting one of the lead actors of the show really took me by surprise. LIving here, we see quite a few actors occassionally in malls or something.....
The gentleman who plays Armaan....i believe his name is Karan Grover.....was the lead encounter my daughter and me had with. It just about two weeks ago we were inthe very known book store in a mall when we ran into him.
My daughter's name is Akansha....shes about 10....we had entered the bookstore and she ran off to the kids section...she usually does that whenever we go. So i left her there and roamed ahead among the other sections of the bookstore. After some time ii heard mydaughter calling me and turned to see her running with about 7-8 books in her arms. NOw i have tell you all this...that she has the habit of picking up everything she likes and then come running to show me. She mut have found some book so she came running with so many in her hands.
She must have tripped against the carpet or something...so she fell down almost on her face. All the books slipped as well. I almost ran towards her bt before me i saw this guy man emerging from the section near where she had falen and before i could reach he was bending down and helping her up. He even picked up the books. I reached there in another second and scolded Akshara lightly for running and turned to this fellow to thank him. I recollected seeing him somewhere...but before i could even tter a word my daughter gushed.
"Armaan..." I then connected him to the guy from this show my daughter watches. He smiled and put forward a handshake, my daughter i have to admit looked a bit flustered. Mydaughter shook hands with him andsmiledand again spoke.
"Armaan..DR Armaan..OMG i love youbut rhea loves you more." I was take aback by this...RHea is my 15 year old niece who stays with us. I turned to this ARmaan and started to apologize for my daughter's behaviour. To my surprise he smiled and spoke.
"Thankyou sweetheart. Whats your name?" My daughter answered to which he said it was a beautiful name. Akshara grinned.....and nodded and said something about some Dr Atul and Dr Armaan again. I was amazed that he stood patiently while my Akshara talked. It was quite rare to see some actor litening to a kid fan. Akshara then asked him "Are you a doctor?"
I was about to tell her that he was an actor but before i could he smiled again and shook his head and replied.
"No Akshara i am an actor....playing a doctor's role. Just like you see in lovies right." To which Akshara nodded.
"But you dance really well. You know i can dance too...i won the first prize last year in school." My daughter blurted. Now i did not know that this man was doing some dance reality show. I really dont watch television so i had no idea he was doing a dance show.
He replied "Thankyou, i amtrying....still long way to go...you won a dance contest?? Great girl....thats really fabulous" By then nearly all the books dropped by Akshara were back and collected in her hands. He helped pick the last one and saw it was some hanah Montana story book.
He handed it to her and asked "Do you like her?"
Akshara is a crazy Hanah Montana girl....she even wants to be rockstar. She replied...."I love Hanah...i also will become a rockstar when i grow up." Hearing this he laughed and patted her head.
"Study first Akshara....get good ranks in school, then you can become a rockstar ok? And i will come to watch your shows." Akshara beamed.....i was really touched by the way he was behaving.
"Then we can perform together. You can dance...I'll sing....." she replied. To which he nodded and said ."You will teach to how to dance....ok..." My Akshara noded. I started muttering an apology as he handed the book in my hands. But he was so sweet.
"No problem mam, if my fans appreciate me.....least i can do is show back my love for them." Saying that he blew a flying to Akshara who obediently returned it. I was absolutely stunned bythis encounter. So earthy...such a humble guy.
My niece rheahad turned green when she came to know this...she still wails she missed him. She has been visiting this forum i guess, so she urged me and asked me to share this experience with you all.....as she says there are many fans of his here.....
And it was such a warm experience that i had to share it.......hope it wasnt too boring. But i must say the gentleman was a very very humble guy and a through gentleman. Its very rare to come across people like this!! Thankyou so much for reading. The gentle man really left a beautiful memory in my daughter's mind.
