24 March - Written Update!!

Dev and Radhika speak over phone and say good bye. Arjun goes off to party with his friends and gets sloshed. Purohitji sees him in that state and is shocked and hurt. Radhika tells herself that she wished she could see him for one last time.

Part I

Dev is talking to Radhika over phone and says that he is going away for good to America. She asks why and he replies that he wants to go away from some memories that haunt him. She says 'But will going away from your family help you forget those memories?' He says ' I know it will be very difficult and the more you try to run away from it the more it pulls you back.' She says ' These memories remain in our heart, we try to link them with a name or a place but we can never distance it from ourselves'. Dev replies ' How easily you said something so profound. I had hoped to meet you at least once today before leaving but that was not to be. And now I will be gone and we will never meet.' Radhika is silently crying and so is Dev. She says ' Please don't say that. We will definitely meet. I wish you and Vishakha a happy journey. Take care.' And keeps the phone. There is a song from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam playing in the background and both of them are crying. ( I was crying too – man it was so heart wrenching !!!).

Part II

Dev's house and everyone is sitting and talking in the main hall. Shastriji gets up and says ' Purohitji, thank you, we would like to take your leave now.' Purohitji asks, ' Why? Wouldn't you take part in the function tomorrow?' and Shatriji replies, 'Yes we definitely will. But we have arranged for our stay in the Dharamshala near the temple you are building'. Devkiji, dadi and Purohiji start protesting and say that now we are all part of a single family so you must stay with us'. Shastriji replies smilingly, 'Thank you but we cannot stay here because it is my daughter's sasural (there is a custom that once the daughter is married into a family, the girl's parents usually don't stay at her sasural). They finally agree and Purohitji asks Dev to leave them at the dharma shala and everyone leave.

Arjun tells Purohitji that he would like to check if everything is alright at the work site and Purohitji is impressed. They then show Arjun walking out briskly talking to someone in his mobile. His father stops him and asks where he is going. He says 'I have been seeing you for so long that I know that sun will rise from the west the day you get interested in working'. Arjun says 'Actually I wanted to meet some friends and have a party. After tomorrow, I will never get a chance so I want to enjoy tonight. May I go?'. Chacha replies 'No, even the slightest mistake now will ruin everything. We need to take each step carefully now.' Arjun says ' I know babuji, and I will be very careful. Trust me, please let me go.' Chacha finally agrees but warns him to be alert and make sure he commits no mistakes. Arjun leaves.

Part III

Radhika is sitting and thinking to herself "I have only the sindoor which is his. I wish I could see him one last time and capture the memory in my heart for the rest of my life'. The CB song plays in the background. Back in Purohit house, Purohitji is trying to sleep but is restless. So he gets up and leaves. Dev sees his dad sitting alone and asks him what is the matter. Purohitji says, 'I could not sleep, maybe because I am disturbed by you leaving tomorrow.' Dev says 'I am sorry, Dad. But…'. And Purohitji stops him saying there is no need to say sorry. <I could not hear this part of the conversation>. He says 'I will go and check how the arrangements are going on at the temple.' Dev offers to go with him but he says he will be ok and that Arjun will be there so he will return with him.

At the temple Purohitji is walking around looking at the decoration. <Again could not hear this part where I think he says he is relieved that Arjun is there to take care of everything.' Just then a car comes and stops and Arjun comes out of with his friends and all are drunk. He is saying loudly how he is going to inherit part of Purohit family's wealth tomorrow and boasts that he has finally done it. Purohitji witnesses all this (thank God !!) and is deeply hurt.

Precap

Radhika tells Kanha that she is going to see Dev for one last time. They show her roaming on the roads of Delhi carrying the idol of Kanha and water. She finally faints on the road.

Today - starts with radhika and dev having a very emotional phone conversation. Ofcourse, he still does not know that she is his dream girl. After that Radhika feels bad that she only has the sindoor and nothing else of dev. Shastri ji wants to stay in the dharmasala that night as it is not right to stay at the daughter's house. Dev goes to drop them. Arjun plans to have a drink party with friends. His dad asks him to be careful as one mistake is enough to ruin there plan. Dev returns and says sorry to his dad for not being there for him when he needs him. Purohit goes to the temple and feels emotional that their trust started from this temple. Then Arjun comes with friends and all drunk. With shoes and drinks all over they misbehave and he boasts that he will be the king in a few hrs. Purohit is a little troubled seeing all this from a corner. Precap - radhika talks to kanha and says she wants to see him one last time, u see her in delhi with kanha's idol and water in hand and later she faints.
