~*~A Special One Shot (Happy Birthday Ravz!!!)~*~

Ravjot stood silently at her window, looking up at the moon shining down upon her. In the faint distance she could hear her friend, Aradhna, or Radz as Ravjot called her, discussing something quietly with her boyfriend, Vikram Aditya Mehra. They both really were a match made in heaven. There was nothing that could tear them apart. Where was her cell person though, she wondered aloud. Have I met him yet? Or is he still to come into my life?

Shaking her head, she brought herself back to reality, today was Yug's graduation party. Yug meaning her friend, Yug Mittal, he had finally graduated from business school with an impressive transcript. Now it was off to the dark cruel gruelling world of business for him, meaning taking over his father's business. "This was his last night of freedom," Ravjot grinned at her reflection in the mirror, fixing her earrings. "I just hope he enjoys the surprise party," Ravjot slowly made her way out of the guest room that she was getting ready in and made her way through the silent corridor, she could see pictures of Yug, all from his childhood to his latest picture of when he got selected for a intercollegiate meet. Ravjot smiles when she comes across a picture of when she and Yug were about 13 years old, both of their faces covered completely in mud. "I can't believe I actually told him I was going to do a mud pack on my face, and then of course him being a boy didn't hesitate at all to dump it all on my face!" Ravjot keeps going through the corridor, something tugging deep inside her heart. But what was this feeling? She was about to storm into the dining room when she heard some hushed voices.

"I can't wait that long," Aditya whines.

"Why? It's only two more months Adi," Radz grins, as Adi takes her hands and plays with her fingers.

"What's in two more months?" Ravjot silently hissed under her breath, wishing those two would talk a bit louder.

"I love you too much Radz. I want to be with you starting today itself," Adi smiles at her, engulfing her in a hug.

Ravjot sighs as she walks in and clears her throat. "Hello hello,"

Adi immediately jumps back from Radz and starts whistling.

"Don't act innocent, I saw that whole thing," Ravjot raises her eyebrow. "So Aradhna, and Aditya, what's going on in two months?"

"Two months?" Radz turns a bright red shade, and starts looking down while Adi tries giving Ravjot a blank expression.

"I heard you two," Ravjot mentions. "So who's going to tell me?"

"Woh sab choro," Adi smiles going up to her. "We've got something to show you on the terrace."

"On the terrace?" Radz asks, looking confused as Adi winks at her.

"Let's go," Adi smiles at Ravjot and takes her arm and leads her along while Radz tags along shaking her head at Adi.

Once the door opens to the terrace, Adi puts both his hands on Ravjot's eyes. "Don't fuss with me, and don't make a sound."

"But Adi--" Ravjot tries to explain.

"Don't--just trust me this once," Adi smiles as he makes her walk forward, while Radz looks around with her eyes wide appreciating the decorations that Ravjot had yet to see.

"I will only trust you when you tell me what you guys were discussing?" Ravjot counters.

"I'm not going to tell you anything Ravz," Radz grins as she sees someone standing with their back towards them.

"Can you take your hands away?" Ravjot asks a little louder, causing the person to turn to face them. A smile emerges on his face as he sees her with her eyes covered.

"Now we're going to leave you here, have fun," Adi whispers to her as he and Radz quickly walk away.

Ravjot turns around and sees Adi and Radz walk away from her, she turns around and sees bright shining lights wrapped around the poles everywhere, lighting her way to the person waiting at the end of the line.

"Yug?" Ravjot asks as she walks closer to him.

She finally reaches Yug and he slowly takes her hand smiling staring into her eyes.

"Hey--" Ravjot says looking down shying away by his intense gaze. Yug raises their interlaced fingers to brush her cheek by the back of his hand. "How was your day?"

"Slow"

"For me, as well" Ravjot replies taking her hand out of his. "But you tell me, what are we doing up here?"

"It's a surprise," Yug tells her.

"I planned a surprise for you downstairs," Ravjot walks away to the ledge. "But you didn't even bother coming down yet,"

"I think this is a bit more important," Yug smiles walking up to her, and taking her hand again.

"Yug,"

"Ravzie," He counters back. "I'm telling you this is important."

"Fine," Ravjot shows him some attitude and turns the other way. "What do you want to say?"

"Ravjot," Yug sighs. "I know that we've been friends forever and well lately I think I've--been having different feelings for you,"

"What kind of feelings?" Ravjot asks as she turns to face him, but then shies away keeping her eyes low cast.

Yug puts his index finger under her chin and tilts it up making her look at him. "I think I love you,"

Ravjot's ears start ringing the minute she heard that one four letter word from his mouth. L--O--V--E

"Tum kuch bologi nahin?" Yug asks softly.

"Yug--I," Ravjot smiles up at him and shakes her head.

"I--understand Ravz, don't worry--" Yug leaves her hand and turns around to go, when she stops him.

"No! That's not what I meant to say, I just--" Ravjot sighs. "I've been thinking about this a lot lately Yug. And just I've had a weird feeling lately in me, especially whenever any thoughts of you ever came up."

"Does that mean?" Yug asks quietly, without looking at her.

Ravjot smiles and she could feel her cheeks getting red, as she looks up at him. "Yes, Yug I love you too,"

"Really?" Yug smiles as he looks up at her.

Ravjot nods as she grins at him. "I wasn't sure if this would ever happen,"

Yug slowly puts his arm around her waist and looks down at her. "I was,"

"Oh really?"

Yug nods.

"And why were you so confident about it?" Ravjot asks as they both slowly walk downstairs.

"I could see it in your eyes, I still do actually."

"What do you see in my eyes?"

"They sparkle when you see me," Yug smirks as they enter the ballroom.

Right then three of Ravjot's friends take her away and rush into the side powder room.

"What happened?"

"Did he say anything special?"

"You were smiling like crazy!"

Ravjot shakes her head and laughs. "You three need to stop and let me talk!!" She looks up into the waiting eyes of her three friends, Shabo, Rinki, and Zahra.

"Hmmm didn't Aradhna tell you guys?" She asks first.

Rinki nods. "She did, but we rather hear it from you," Shabo and Zahra agree alongside.

Shifali bursts in as Ravjot was about to answer. "He just blushed when Prem asked him!"

"Who?"

"What?"

Ravjot blows out some air, "You guys need to let us talk," she grins at Shifali. "Who blushed and when he asked him what?"

Shifali sits down next to Ravjot, "Prem asked Yug what happened upstairs, while I was watching from the side, and he started turning red, like actually!"

Zahra, Shabo and Rinki burst out laughing. "That is so cute!"

"You guys, leave him alone!" Kimmu says, coming into the room.

"Okay I'm getting claustrophobic in here," Zahra says standing up and fanning herself.

"How about we all just leave the room?" Ravjot suggests.

"Just because you want to go to Yug 'jiju'?" Shabo teases.

"You guys are all just insane!" Ravjot groans. "He is not your jiju,"

"Okay well then tell us na," Rinki laughs.

"What happened with you two upstairs?" Kimmu asks.

Ravjot sighs. "Okay, so what did Radz tell you guys?"

"She was a bit too busy with Adi," Zahra laughs. "So then I got Kinshuk to take him away,"

"Oye hoye," Rinki grinned. "You're using your boyfriend to help us out?"

Zahra starts blushing. "Stop it Rinki. He loves helping people get together; he helped you and Preet na?"

Rinki bursts out laughing. "I'd say he helped Preet the most in actually confessing it."

Zahra agrees with her as Ravjot turns to Shifali and shakes her head. "Wanna smuggle me out of here?"

"I heard that," Shabo laughs. "And you're not going anywhere till you tell us everything!"

Ravjot groans and she launches into telling all her friends her story of what had happened upstairs with her and Yug.

"Oh my god!" Shifali grins. "That is sooo shweet!"

"I knew this would happen!" Shabo smiles at all of them looking smug.

"Yeah, yeah, sure," Kimmu nods and turns back to Ravjot. "I can't believe it!"

"Neither could I," Ravjot admits, as a knock sounds on the door.

"Who could it be?" Zahra wonders as she slowly peeps open the door. "Oh--tum?"

Preet smiles sheepishly as he runs his hand through his hair. "Can I talk to Rinki?"

Aradhna comes from behind and pulls Preet's ear. "What are you doing here?"

"Mujhe Rinkz se baat karni thi..." He winces as Radz pulls him away from the door.

"Adi is looking for you. Jao tum," She pushes him away from the door as Rinkz stands up and grins guiltily at the rest of the group. "I'll uhem be right back,"

"Haan--haan, tum jao," Shifali laughs. Her cell phone rings right as they close the door again. "Hello?"

"Hey," Prem's voice greets her.

"Why are you calling me when we're in the same place?"

"Because you and your toli of girls refuse to come out of there, kitni koshish ki Preet ne, but only Rinki came out," Prem sighs. "Anyways you come on out, or we're coming inside."

"Pagal, there is NO room in here," Shifali looks at the other girls and rolls her eyes.

"Well then I'd come out if I were you," Prem's voice causes her spine to tingle as he lowers his voice.

"Fine, aarahi hoon!" Shifali grumbles as she stands up. "My stupid husband is beckoning me,"

"Oh ho, phir to jaaiye," Shabo laughs.

Shifali groans as she leaves the room dragging Zahra with her. "Wait--why are you taking me?"

"Because I'm pretty sure your dear Kinshuk must be waiting!" Shifali laughs as she takes her out with her.

Zahra shakes her head and bursts out laughing as she gets led out of the room.

"So now it's us huh?" Shabo looks at Kimz and back at Ravjot.

"Aur main?"Radz raises her eyebrow as she is about to walk in.

"You my dear are coming with me," Adi says as he takes her hand. "Oh and you three, come out as well, we have some special announcements to make."

Shabo glances at Kimmu and back at Ravjot. "Could this have to do with Yug?" she asks Adi.

Adi shrugs. "Come out and see," He turns to Radz, "Come with me," He takes her out of the room and waits for Shabo and Kimmu to follow.

Right as Shabo and Kimmu come out, Ranbir and Jay come and take them to stand next to Preet and Rinki.

"Thank you all for coming," Yug says. "I know Ravjot tried to make this a surprise party for me, but fortunately for some of my good friends, like Adi and Prem, I found out about it, and so I put together a small surprise of my own for Ravjot." He looks at her and smiles. "Would you please come up here?" Ravjot glares at him and shakes her head. "Come on Ravzie,"

She smiles as he uses his special nickname for her and walks towards him so he offers his hand to her. "I hate you for this," She whispers to him.

"I know," He whispers back before he takes the mike. "Basically I have nothing more to say than congratulations to my dear friends Aradhna and Aditya, as they both just got engaged today!"

Ravjot's eyes go wide as she hears the words come out of Yug's mouth; she looks at Radz and Adi who are standing back to chest with Adi's arms wrapped around Radz's waist. But then her face breaks out into a huge smile, as everyone starts clapping. They both make their way down to where they are standing and Ravjot quickly hugs her. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"You were about o get your special moment upstairs when it happened, I didn't want run it for you." Radz grins as she hugs her back.

Adi puts his hand on Radz shoulder, "Can I steal her away for awhile?"

Ravjot grins. "She's all yours," She watches as Radz and Adi make their way to the dance floor as the slow song starts, she grins as both Ranbir and Shabo and Kimmu and Jay also go to the dance floor. She turns around and looks for Zahra who she sees whispering quietly with Kinshuk, and Rinki and Preet both just gazing into each other's eyes. As she turns around looking for Shifali, but then she sees her and Prem outside on the porch, with their hands intertwined.

"Your attention should be on me," Yug says whispering in her ear from behind.

Ravjot turns around right away and smiles at Yug. "Where were you?"

"I wanted to see how long it'd take you to miss me."

Ravjot shakes her head. "Unfortunately, I haven't started yet,"

"Oh really? Well then I should go now," Yug sulks and walks away until Ravjot puts out her hand to stop him.

"I love you Yug." Ravjot whispers.

"I love you too," He winks at her as he leads her to the dance floor.

Yes I suck at doing endings, and so I left it there, (Open endings are good 😊) And yes...Radz thinks that I should have added myself in, but then I just didn't wanna do that and so that is why I'm not here! 😛 But I really hope you like it Ravz! 😳 Happy Birthday!!!! I love you, and I'm sooo glad we're friends! 😃
