Written Update March 20 2009

Part I

Episode starts with Dev standing alone and asking himself why o why is he not able to forget her? Why do her memories continue to haunt me when I know she belongs to someone else !! Just then a shadow falls across and he looks up to see Vishakha standing there. He asks her 'why are you still awake?' for which she replies angrily ' how can I sleep when I know that my future is being decided without even asking me. Here is my decision - all through my life I have been deciding what to do and not and now also I will decide for myself. And I refuse to come with you to America'. She proceeds to tear the ticket and Dev stops her and says ' please listen to me. This is a very good chance that you are letting off. Once we go to America you will be free from this false relationship.' Vishakha asks ' What about me after that?' Dev says ' I will help you in all ways and will get you tickets to come back if you wish'. Vishakha says ' that is of no use since I will not be able to go back to my house or come here'. Dev says ' I will arrange for your stay and even provide financial help for your career'. Vishakha's face brightens up on hearing this. He continues to say that 'if you wish to marry again, I will even help you with that because I owe you for all that you have done for my family's happiness'. Finally he convinces her to agree to his plan and she leaves happily saying she will trust him to keep his word and help her. And Birju who happens to hear the entire conversation from a bit far is stunned. He realises that all this while Dev was pretending in front of everyone. Dev walks away once Vishakha leaves and stops when he sees Birju. He too looks shocked.

Part 2

Radhika is talking to Kanha and says ' I wish I could stop him but I don't have the right. Anyway I am happy that I will bbe able to see him one last time and that is enough for me to live the rest of my life.'. Scene switches over to Dev talking to Birju ' I know you must be deeply hurt to know the truth that all this was false. But I could not muster the courage to hurt my family and that is why I pretended.' Birju asks 'To me too? ' Dev replies ' I know I should have told you everything but at that time, I only thought of mom, dad and Dadima. How do I tell them that my dreamgirl does not love me and is married to someone else?' Birju has a guilty look. Dev continues 'To me Dadima's happiness is most important and even you advised me didn't you?' Birju says ' But Dev bhayya, I also told you to accept bhauji. How long will you deceive everyone, one day they will know.' Dev replies that is why he is going far away. He says ' please forgive me, I know if you were in my place you would have told the truth to your best friend'. Birju is feeling guilty and thinks how do I tell him that I have met his dreamgirl. When he comes to know the truth he will lose faith on my friendship (Idiot, this was your chance to tell him !!!)

It is next morning and back in Vrindavan, Radhika and Devki are packing. And Amma as usual starts cursing her. She says ' I know why you are happily doing all the packing'. Radhika leaves and Devki asks Amma what should we give Vishakha? Amma says give her your necklace. Devki says but I already gave her my jewellery. This one I had kept for Radhika to give her during her wedding. Amma says ' but she is married to kanha so what's the use, give it to Vishaka. I am sure this girl's presence will bring some bad luck in Vishakha's life'. Shatriji comes in and amma quickly changes the topic. She asks Radhika to go inside and see if everything is packed.

Part 3

Dev's house and the women are selecting jewellery for the function. Daadi asks Vishakha to choose whichever she likes and she replies that she will go by Daadi's choice. Dev and Birju walk in and Daadi says we are trying to choose jewellery for Choti Bahu..he smiles. Daadi chooses one and says this will look good on you. Mrinalini says that is what I chose. Are you forgetting that in tomorrow's function even the Badi Bahu has to look good? Everyone look at each othet. Vishakha says it ok you can take this, I will take something else and everyone feel relieved.

Daadi comes back to her room with Birju and says these days I can't sit continuously for even half an hour, I feel tired. Birju says he will get her milk with turmeric and leaves. Daadi sees Dev walk by and calls him. She says 'now you don't have time for your girlfriend otherwise why would you leave me and go? Dev looks a bit sad and Daadi tries to cheer him up saying ' you should have stuck to your original idea of a live in relation. Atleast you would have had more time for all of us.' Dev looks away and Daadi asks 'do you have someone in mind still? I know you will not do anything like that since you married your love. And what is a marriage without love? I am happy that you are happy.' They hug each other and Dev closes his eyes to mask his feeling. At this point Birju comes with the milk and sees how sad Dev looks and tells himself that 'I must tell Dev bhayya about Radhikaji because only she can give him the love he is seeking.'

Back in Vrindavan, everyone is preparing to leave and Shastriji locks the door and asks Amma where Radhika is. Amma says she went to temple and will directly come to the bus stand. Shastriji looks puzzled and says ok I will go to the temple and come to the bus stand. Suddenly they show Radhika inside the house trying to come out and finds her room locked. She bangs on the door; Shastriji hears the sound and asks Amma to give the key. Amma tries to say that we are getting late, lets go but he takes the key and opens the door. He finds the noise coming from one of the rooms and opens it to see Radhika inside. He asks her 'what are you doing inside' and she keeps quiet. Shastriji comes out with Radhika by his side and looks at Amma angrily. Amma tries to bluff saying 'where were you, you said you are going to the temple' Shastriji sees through amma's lies and says 'Now noone can stop you from coming to Delhi. Let's go.' Everyone leave.
