But very soon, Chetan Hansraj, who plays the baddie, will return to the forefront of Balaji's Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.
Confirming his re-entry, Chetan said, "Yes, Sasha is back in Kahaani. I think it's an exciting move, because I missed playing the character."
Misses being a baddie
Another reason for Chetan's excitement is the fact that he's going back to playing a negative role after a long break. "In both Kyunki and Kaisa Ye Pyaar Hai, my characters were positive. So it's definitely a welcome break for me to get another chance at being Sasha."
Giving details about his entry on the show, Hansraj said, "Pallavi (Achint Kaur) will help me get out of jail, and I will be back to my old tricks in terms of making life a living hell for Parvati (Sakshi Tanwar)."
New look
Even though he isn't yet sure about his look on the show, Chetan wants to experiment with his hairstyle. "I still have to figure out the look. As always, Sasha will remain stylish and have loads of attitude. I am thinking of streaking my hair, instead of colouring it."
Sasha, always
As far as Kyunki is concerned, Chetan said his character of Mansingh Chauhan will eventually be phased out. "I didn't have much to do in Kyunki. It was good fun playing a cop and having a short haircut for a while. For the audience, I have always been remembered as Sasha, so when I heard they were bringing me back in Kahaani, I didn't mind exiting Kyunki."
Mean machine
Kahaani's creative head, Sandiip Sikcand added, "Sasha should make an entry in Kahaani within two weeks. There won't be any major change in his character; he will still have the same level of meanness as he did before. As far the plot is concerned, with Om (Kiran Karmarkar) coming back soon, Sasha will have an interesting track with Mayuri (Adita Wahi)."
Baddie to be daddy
Meanwhile, Chetan is busy buying goodies for his baby, which is due in mid-January. "I recently purchased a baby cot, so the process of gearing up to become a father has begun."
