Congratulations on making it to your sixteenth birthday! Hope you have an extremely sweet one, surrounded by loved ones. May all your wishes come true, and have a happy day, and rest of the year, and life (but that's a bit long.. so I'll repeat these wishes again next year!)

Now, like I mentioned to you earlier, I had trouble with the gift.. And I am too nice to blackmail anyone into helping me out either.. *sigh* So I'm extremely sorry, it will be late.. I will give it to you, hopefully, before next year.. aw who am I kidding, it's going to be extremely late! I'm so sorry.. No one's free to help me out either *wails*

Many more birthdays like this to come, and I hope to get to know you better as well.. You've made my entry into the forum, my presence here all the more enjoyable, and all the more pleasant with your posts and welcoming nature. You have no idea how much that means to me. I've made a new friend in you, and through you, new friends in Kimmie and Shabo as well (despite the slight age difference).. I feel like less like I'm going to graduate from being a teen in two years thanks to you guys.

Love you loads, and I'll be praying for your happiness today.

It was a crisp fall day. The leaves danced in the air as they slowly fell apart from their braches and took refuge on the cold sidewalks. The street was rummaging with activity, with students working, kids playing in the park or just plain out relaxing.

In the middle of all of this, one girl stood out. Wearing clothes to compliment her every curve, she was oblivious to the lust filled stares she was getting from the various guys roaming around. A tiny crease appeared between her delicate eyebrows as frustration took over her features. She muttered to herself as she furiously typed out a reply to whoever she was text messaging. "Armaan! Stop it, the answer is no!" Pressing 'send' she sat back in her chair ordering her usual by a wave of her hand. Resting her head back, she closed her eyes. What a week! Everywhere she looked, left and right there were boys. Boys after her, boys in front of her, beside her, around her, they were everywhere! A loud ping brought her out of her thoughts. She had a text message. Noticing it was Armaan, she sighed. What would he come up with next? Reading the message she looked up sharply. In front of her, a vision in white stood her first of many boyfriends, Armaan. In his hand was a single rose which he offered her, tempting her. Noticing her hesitancy, he gave her a small smile and signaled to the waiters. All at once the lights in the quiet restaurant went out, the only light left being the hundreds of candles. Slow, soft music started playing and with an exaggerated pout, Armaan asked Rinki for her hand for a dance.

Smiling at his romantic stunt, Rinki gave him a shy nod. Pumping his fist in victory, Armaan quickly remembered himself and helped her to her feet, immediately sweeping her in her arms. Resting her head on his shoulder, Rinki heard him sigh in content, confusing her even more. Sure, he was an amazing guy with a charming personality but she was so young! Armaan was just one of the many guys who was asking her to commit long term but she couldn't see herself in that position yet.

The song ended and Rinki opened her eyes. She hadn't realized she had dazed off in her own lil dreamland right there in a public restaurant in Armaan's arms. Blushing furiously she detached herself from the inviting arms of his arms and stared at the ground as the on looking diners clapped politely. Muttering to herself she dragged a grinning Armaan back to the table. She plopped herself in a seat, without waiting for Armaan who was admiring how every lil emotion was evoked perfectly on her perfect face. Rinki lifted her big, wondering eyes to meet the gaze of Armaan. Candlelight flickered, casting shadows on their faces. The world around them disappeared as Armaan pleaded her to choose him with those gorgeous eyes and Rinki furiously tried to break her gaze with no success. A loud voice broke their lil moment as someone towered over their table, anger reflecting in each and every single line of his dark and livid face. Grabbing Armaan by the collar, he pulled him up. The candlelight hit his face and with a jolt she realized it was her other boyfriend, the slightly possessive one – Iqbal Khan.

Immediately, on instinct, Rinki got up and stood between the two men who were gazing at each other with obvious distaste. Iqbal ignored her, slightly pushing her with less force, never taking his eyes off Armaan.

"What are you doing with her? I told you that if I catch you 5o feet near her I'd break your jaw! She's mine do you understand?"

Armaan glared at him, scared but still man enough to argue back. "You are not the boss of me! I don't have to stay away from Rinkz unless she tells me to! Got it? So stop pushing me around!"

Iqbal broke in; "Well-"

"STOP IT" yelled an infuriated Rinki. "Stop it both of you. Both of you are acting like children. Now sit down before I leave my mind and leave!"

Cowering under her anger, both men nodded and silently took their seats. Huffing she took her own seat, seething in private about the childish acts she always seemed to get in the middle of. Notcing her anger, Iqbal smiled to himself. He loved it when she was angry. Not because he couldn't stand watching her be happy but winning her over when she was mad at him was amazing to watch. And so much more rewarding. Ignoring Armaan's complaints under his breath, he pulled out a small bouquet of flowers. Rinki looked at it, with obvious longing. Iqbal smiled. He could just see the raging battle in her eyes. Half of her wanted to accept the flowers and just let it go, but the other half wanted to stay mad, stay angry. After a couple of seconds of thinking it through, sighing Rinki held her hand out to take the bouquet. Smiling in winning, Iqbal handed them over with a small card alongside it. Sighing, Rinki rolled her eyes and looked down to read it;

Laughing at his antics, Rinki looked up, lighting up the whole setting. Gasping she tried to catch her breath as Armaan watched, sulking and Iqbal sat up a lil taller, confident that he had finally won her over. Finally finished with her laughing fit, Rinki leaned forward and patted Iqbal's cheek lightly.

"Nice try hun, I'm not going to be won over that easily! Thanks anyway! The flowers are gorgeous!"

Dejected, Iqbal slumped back into his seat. Laughing at his expressing Armaan picked a flower and threw it in the air. So busy the three of them were, none noticed a tall lanky figure enter the building, headphones in his ears singing along with the music, announcing his entrance.

Getting down to his knees in front of Rinki he threw his hands apart and said loudly enough for the whole restaurant to hear;

"Chun lo naa Rinkz! I'm waaiiitttinggg!" With a dramatic flourish he reached out behind him and pulled out a single daisy.

"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww" sighed Rinki. "That's so cute!!" And with that she leaned forward, grabbed his cheeks and pinched them tightly. "But too bad! I still haven't decided!"

Disappointed, Adi pulled up another chair and sat down. And there they were. Three extremely eligible bachelors, waiting for their princess to make her decision. Stalling for time, Rinki looked around the quiet restaurant.

"By the way guys…..have you all seen Prem anywhere? I wonder why he's not slumping around waiting for me to make my choice?" Rinki put her head in her arms. Why wasn't Prem waiting around like a dog for her to make a decision? She LIKED being the center of attention and this avoidance was a shock to her system.

Iqbal scoffed. "Probably doing something for his parents, the saint. Mama's boy" Armaan and Adi broke out in laughter, slapping each other's hands with high fives. Though all of them were acting friendly with each other, only one thing was running through their mind; "One down, two more to go."

"Shut up!" said Rinki. "Gosh," she said more to herself then anyone. "Boys." With a sigh, she resumed her tired slump, still not believing that no one had wished her yet. There was a disturbance at the door, and Adi turned around, intrigued. "Speaking of Prem…."

Rinki whipped her head around, her long tresses dancing in the air. At the door was a shadowy figure. As he advanced forward, his velvety voice rang in the silence of the restaurant.

Smiling, Rinki got up to greet Prem with a bone-crushing hug. As abruptly as the good mood came, it vanished. Dropping a kiss on her soft cheeks, Prem dragged another chair over and sat down. Now all four boys were looking at Rinki patiently, waiting to see what she would say. Knowing she couldn't put it off anymore, Rinki sighed.

Clearing her throat she began. "OK so thanks you guys for coming today, I finally figured out my life. I decided who I want to go long term with."

All four men sat expediently, like dogs, waiting for their master to give them orders. Turning to Armaan first, Rinki broke the news. "I'm really sorry Armaan, but I really can't see myself committed to you long term. It's like you are always playing pranks and stuff and I need someone more mature you know." Smiling softly, she gently squeezed his hand. A loud giggling noise came from the other side. She turned her head so fast it was a blur.

"Don't get so happy Iqbal! I didn't pick you either. Honestly, you need to get a control on that temper. I swear you will end up in jail on day!"'' Iqbal fell silent at once, causing Adi to giggle. "Shut up Adi, not you either! Sometimes I wonder if you have the brain of a 7 year old! Grow up will you?"

Turning to Prem, she gently let him down. "Don't look so happy Prem, I can't see myself with you either. It's like you love your father more then you love me! Aren't their laws about that?" Dejected, Prem nodded, understanding Rinki could never be his.

"Well if not any of us….then who's the lucky boy?" asked a tentative Adi.

Rinki was saved the answer by the interruption of two arms wrapping themselves around her waist. She felt breath on her cheek as the stranger left a kiss on her crimson red cheeks. Explosions erupted at the pit of her stomach. She turned her head slightly so she could see him better. "Hey." she whispered. In answer the arms tightened ever more. "Happy Birthday jaan." replied the husky voice. Blushing, Rinki turned to give him a big bear hug. As she turned the candlelight spilled on his face. The perfectly pointed nose, the lips playing a small smirk, bronze hair spilling over his forehead, the intense hazel eyes, the perfectly chiseled face, Rinki's one love, her one miracle, Arjun.

Helping her up, Arjun got Rinki her purse so they could leave for the surprises her had planned for her. Before she left Rinki turned and offered the guys a wave. "Cya around boys." And with that Rinki and Arjun walked off in the sunny fall day, their fingers intertwined gently.
