I just came back from the Pakistan Day parade here in my city Chicago āļø
We only had one singer here, but he was amazingg!! His name's Shiraz Uppal, and he's released a few albums. He composed the song "Roya Re" from the movie Dhoka!
I'd never heard of him before, but I became a big fan after today's performance! After the contest I crazily ran to get a pic with him while all the other girls there were just fighting over who was gonna get their pic first š
He performed "Tera te mera", "saiyyan ve" "roya re" and a few bhangra numbers....the saiyyan ve song aws teh best, in which the audience yelled out teh "dil bole" part š³
So if you haven't heard of him, ahh I'm telling you, go on youtube and hear his songs right now! ššš³
It's so great to see such amazing talent from Pakistan, if only he'd get even more recognition so more people would know him! āļø
