Karan Grover may yet have no plans of marrying girlfriend Kavita Kaushik, but the actor knows a lot about marriage already.
And that's all thanks to his profession. The actor has been married for over four times in the past three years. "I am a professional husband," he laughs. Well the actor was married twice in Saarthi, once in Meri Awaaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshini and now he took the pheras again in Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki. And no, the actor is not fond of the elaborate wedding sequences. "My marriage will definitely not be like anything they show on TV. I feel bad for the actress who has to wear heavy jewellery and sit though it all," he says.
Karan may have been seen in many reality shows but he has been part of Nach Baliye along with girlfriend Kavita. "It's different. Reality shows ask a lot of you. I am okay with people judging me. I am not the kind who'll get offended if the judges criticise me," he says. Maybe that's why he's not on any of the reality shows today. "See, there's something called editing. Even if there's an ugly fight on the show it's upto the producers and director to decide whether to air it or not. They can simply chop off that and show the rest. But that's not what they want," he smiles.
The actor is happy working with the team of Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki. "A good production house is a blessing for any actor. The Barjatyas are the sweetest people to work with. They take good care of their actors," he says.
The only thing that the actor is having trouble dealing with is his character. Karan plays a quiet guy in the show, whereas off screen he's exactly the opposite. "I love talking. I am an extrovert and keeping quiet for a long time is not me," he laughs. So, since he's in a mood to talk, what does he have to say about the rumours of his break-up with Kavita? "She has cleared the air. But there are no marriage plans. We both need to settle down more to make any such commitment," he says. And does settling down mean heading to Bollywood? "The truth is that I haven't got any great offers. I would be lying if I said I am considering something. But I would love to do something like what Rajeev Khandelwal attempted in Aamir," he says. Till then it's destination TV for Karan.
