I like the first episode. The singers are good. Out of the whole world to select 40 to 50 contestants should not be difficult. I do not know why they did not do it before. Maybe a whole lot of young folks are interested/attracted to participate coz of the glamour the program created.

Young kids should understand that only a very few get a chance to really sing in the films. I was reading about a contestant I forgot the name could be Abhov something like that in IF, he tried to knock on the music directors but in vain. He is now singing in a hotel somewhere in India.

There is no lack of talent of singing in India coz the only cheap entertainment is music and films. The irony is that these music directors now wants to not only give music of the films, they want to write the songs and sing as well. This is the reason the poetry in the songs of the past you cannot see it now. To make music also is not difficult. Just listen to some foreign songs and write some nonsense poetry (tuk bandi) there you go the song is ready. There is no soz no gudaz and no poetry. I am not saying 100% happen are like that but a lot of times happens like that.

Look at the suppose to be top notch music directors liked the voice of Debojit Dutta's song. He is practically yelling. Feel like he is gone mad. All the music directors loved that and audience was shouting once more. I like Debojit's energy, I have to see how he will going to perform in the coming episodes.

I was bowled over by all the singers, they are all good. It's going to be one tough competition. Am keen on finding out what sort of judges are Shankar & Pritam. I like their music.
But at the same time it's also true what mkhan_90 has to say. The talent seems to be plenty & chances of actually making it big are pretty slim....look at all the winners of shows like C 2007, Indian Idol, etc...those winners are still on the small screen (correct me if i'm wrong)....I feel sad for these immensly talented singers that even after winning such big competitions they have to knock on doors to get work...

I actually just saw it myself and Let me tell you its one of the finest I have seen last year I caught the show in the middle and saw the begining another time! I am definately going to watch this season from start to finish!!!!!

I really liked many of the singers in the first epi ... the girls have some catching up to do ... i wonder if they dont get better female singers in the auditions 😕 I really liked the girl Sara from Pakistan on Saturday! She is one of the best girls out there in the contest!
One saturday, I really liked Aditya's pick for Pritam and Himesh! Was totally with him on his choice! 👏
One random observation was that most of the singers sang Pritam's songs 😊
