^^^ I agree the calmness is not needed, but to potray a strong character that means business you don't need to have scary expressions on your face. I call it loud acting. I am an avid fan of Kahaani where Parvati came back for revenge and she is as strong as you get and watching her act you never felt she was overacting or was loud. That is what I feel with Gurdeep. She has the same expressions she had when she was doing the role of Vedika where she potrayed herself as a mad person. the same sort of eye movements and facial expressions. As an actor I think you need to tailor your expressions to the need of the character and not trasfer the same act from one role to the next. Just my opinion.
yes I agree with you, in sindoor she was "vedika the mad person" she is bringing too much of vedika in ks. when parvati came back for revenge her acting were never considered loud, more like powerful, she got all the expressions right, and was not overacting. There is a difference between overacting and powerful strong acting. and some of the melodramic scenes gurdepp supposes to portray anger towards meera she is supposed to feel hurt for all the lost years. her expressions supposed to say she is determined and set her mind on defaeting meera, but she just overacts and comes across to me as a mad person, No offence to anyone onlt my opinion
