So true, yaar. You’ve summed up the current ITV discussion scene perfectly. While I was going through that old show forum,I actually felt sad for the current state of ITV and why people who once loved ITV so much,have left it....

Pehle even average shows generated sensible debates. People disagreed, took sides, fought for their favourites but there was some baseline of logic because the stories themselves had a spine. Characters were inconsistent sometimes, yes, but not completely incoherent or rewritten every other week.

Aaj kal toh discussion ka matlab hi khatam ho gaya hai. When the writing itself is disjointed, impulsive, and openly contemptuous of continuity, what exactly are people supposed to analyse? You can’t have layered debates when the script has zero layers.

It’s either “my bbg can do no wrong ” dressed up as performative feminism to defend the most regressive nonsense, or“babyboy supremacy” where MLs are infantilised no matter how badly written or morally bankrupt they are 🤡🤡

And in x or insta or most of the sm ,there’s no middle ground anymore,no space for calling out bad writing without being labelled anti-FL or anti-ML.

Seriously all of them going "y'all y'all" about a friggin HINDI TV SHOW? ...it sounds beyond bizarre to read such descriptions while drooling over random Hindi TV shows characters/actors. But I suppose it's a result of homogenization of fandoms globally....now it's all the same kids watching K-dramas, C-dramas, Turkish dramas and ITV dramas and talking about all of them using same slang and terms .
