How did she watch that 26/11 scene? She was one of the journalists who was showing everything which was going on and location of our commandos live

I like that they took this conscious decision of even terrible worst of worst men not hurting their wives

This is why comparison with Vanga seems distasteful, that man promoted domestic violence against women

The truly absurd and mind-boggling part of that movie is he justified cheating on his wife by claiming he slept with a mole to get to the culprits who had his dad attacked. That kind of mental gymnastics is truly beyond any kind of rational comprehension.

On the other hand when Hamza comes home post 26/11, upset and devastated; he’s immediately yelled at, accused of sleeping with someone else and then slapped by Yalina. Not once does he raise his voice even at her let alone take his frustrations out on her for whatever happened and moreover despite giving her an ultimatum of stick around with no questions asked or leave, he promises her if she stays he will be only hers forever though he doesn’t need to do that. That society allows men to have multiple wives as it is and his mission as a spy doesn’t involve any obligation regarding loyalty towards the girl he dates. He could be sleeping around Karachi for all Sanyal cares as long as he does his job. But Dhar doesn’t go there, he makes Jaskirat/Hamza loyal to the girl he’s in a relationship with.

to be fair, all journalists did that. And can give benefit of doubt that in the chaos they did not realise. It is at the end police, and government’s duty to keep these things in order. When they realized, this is what is happening they stopped live reporting and all channels agreed,

Exactly

They could have easily used women to show extreme violence but they didn't, one of the reasons why I love this movie, not only that it isn't misogynistic but it stays away from normalized tropes of abusing women to get people involved in the story

Both women were dominating their partners like on their wedding when someone says "Congratulations on the first wedding" to Hamza, Yaleena rebukes him for it, even Pakistani women are shown with a spine

Pata nahi kaha misogyny dikh gayi dimag se paidal logo ko

I have written a long reply about these scenes approximately 2 pages before and why I loved the relationship dynamics in this movie and discussed what the future might hold for Hamza Yalina.

As for misogyny, my friend, how dare they not have Yalina in Bikinis? Ulfat casually killing someone despite being the wife of the most dangerous man in Lyari? That’s their version of misogyny. How dare only men do all the action scenes in a movie that deals with terrorism, espionage, undercover operations and you know, literal gang violence and activities? How is not a single woman shown as a mafia boss or a terrorist or a gangster? That’s how.

Normal people like us understand why women are not exactly the most suitable people for these jobs but when people want equality in everything, they don’t want to use a little thing that’s rare despite it’s name called common sense, that’s why.
