As I adore movies with the subject of work in a filmindustry or on a film or a theatre play, I was happy that Ekta Kapoor made this film with such a good cast and the focus on the leading woman.
Here a 14 min part of the movie, just to celebrate it 
Vidya took a huge risk with this one and proved how committed she was to the 'craft'. But the whole thing was weird. The movie was about a woman whose sexuality was exploited by the industry and ended up dying a tragic death ( or many such women as the makers claimed ) , and all the posters ,all the promotional hoardings, all the teasers and trailers were about Vidya 's cleavage and belly. It was a Silk in a Silk Russian doll situation. The movie had the ruse of telling a story , but it basically got an ammaji like Vidya to do a cheap item number. The song should have been a brief sequence that showed the movie making bits from her life ,instead it was just another Bollywood song with tits and hips.
Anyway , bold of her so to speak because back then no other mainstream actress would have had the audacity to do that role. ,even for silly reasons like having to look plump

I hardly watch Bollywood movies anymore, it seems that the quality of movies are not the same as they were in the 90's, 00's, or even 15 years...
