Yes, I am convinced. Madonna is not an actress and more a singer. But, she excelled in two period films - Dick Tracy and Evita. She was excellent as Breathless Mahoney against Warren Beatty and the lovely Eva Peron in the critically acclaimed drama Evita. When I see Aishwarya in Devdas and Jodhaa Akbar, it leaves a lot to be desired for. And Madonna's Don't Cry For Me Argentina is one of the best period film songs of all time....
