Exactly! đ Exposure in a Leena Gangopadhyay show is like a decorative prop â it looks dramatic for one episode, and then poof! everyone goes back to behaving as if nothing ever happened. Her characters have the memory span of a goldfish and the morality of a soap bubble â fragile, fleeting, and totally hollow..
The show pretends itâs moving forward, but in reality, itâs just looping endlessly in the same toxic cycle â because apparently, in Leenaâs world, accountability is optional and logic is a sin.đ¤Ł
The âpearlsâ of Leenaâs creative thinking supposedly seen in Ishani - from what I understood from promos and some stray comments here and there. I havenât watched the show
A lover who pines for his girlfriend for years and stays unmarried and yet he will reach the tether of his patience cos he can now no longer accept that she will tend to her sick husband. The issue isnât that the lover can become insecure or that his lover continues to feel bounden to her family that abused her pretty much the whole time!!
The limit of Leenaâs creativity is thisâŚ. Make the family grateful after abuse and the lover insecure!! Wow Status quo maintained!!
Instead of offering the viewer a pathway in the story in how the lovers handle this situation where the woman given to always putting herself last navigates this situation with better agency that she either didnât have earlier or didnât feel strong enough to exercise. This nonsensical part of the woman bemoaning her fate and the guy acting like he was just waiting all these years only to dump her at the first instance ( I assume)
For Leena men are dogs and women have no ability to think and act for themselves.
