Kantara and now the `prequel' is a treat for all those who love Indian mythology... I'm quite sure of it... and both are truly what one calls 'event movies' (if possible, really to be watched on the best screens available)...

To me, the only thing that makes me think (when it comes to numbers) are the producers (Hombale) and the Hindi distributors AA Films... but that is only because of the numbers - not about the movie to be well-made...

It is not exactly Indian mythology, kola or buta pooja is done by the Bunts community in India, most of them originate from Mangalore, Karnataka. There are sub castes as well. I would like to add that the tulus religiously follow customs and traditions without making it obvious.

Actors like Sunil Shetty, Aishwarya Rai, Shilpa Shetty, Rohit Shetty are a part of this community.

It is said boota puja or worshipping deities should not be stopped. Once a year either the entire family or a representative performs the pooja, if not done the results can be catastrophic. That's the general consensus.
