Notion of Artificial Intelligence & Automation replacing humans, is nothing but a ploy by intelligence agencies of rival nations to slow down, if not completely sabotage, research & development in this field.

Elon Musk and some other people say something to the effect that introduction of Artificial Intelligence and Automation will completely abolish unemployment and poverty.

Some netizens paint a dark picture saying that AI may replace some humans. They may retort that they were speaking only about military field.

How AI may affect employment situation around the world?

The Artificial Intelligence Technologists community will go on to become the powers that be and the government policy makers, and they are compassionate and also magnanimous. The AI inventors dominated government wouldn't allow the lower beings to perish. They would find some way to keep the lower beings alive and happy. 20th century government policymakers worried about poverty alleviation and achieved great success in solving that problem. Their 22nd century counterparts would do the same about job creation for the less intelligent.

But first of all, the generations living in first quarter of 21st century shouldn't bother about the next century viz. 22nd century. It takes decades for military technology to be applied to civilian applications. Let alone civilian applications, even in military domain, for AI technology to replace any human, it will take at least 150 more years. By then, all the people born in 2025 would be dead for at least 30-40 years, presuming that medical science doesn't increase lifespan.

The sponsored propaganda campaign to create a misconception that Artificial Intelligence or Automation can eliminate any job shouldn't be paid heed to, because there's an ulterior motive behind the propaganda.

Though the belief is not completely false, but it won't and can't replace humans. Instead, AI primarily serves to enhance human capabilities by automating repetitive tasks, allowing people to focus on higher-level work that requires creativity, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking. AI is a tool for augmentation, not a substitute for uniquely human qualities and consciousness.

By taking over mundane tasks, AI frees up humans to concentrate on jobs requiring uniquely human skills such as critical thinking, strategy, and emotional intelligence.

It is a very good topic. That is why, I am tagging a few members--

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one of the most fascinating advancements of our time. Many people, however, hold the misconception that AI will completely replace humans in the future. This belief comes from the fact that AI can perform certain tasks faster, more accurately, and without fatigue. From data processing to automation in industries, AI has shown impressive abilities, creating fear that humans may no longer be needed.

The truth is, AI is a tool created by humans to assist and enhance our work, not to replace us. While AI can handle repetitive tasks, calculations, and pattern recognition, it lacks the qualities that make us truly human. It cannot think creatively, feel emotions, or make ethical and moral judgments. AI also struggles to adapt in unpredictable and abstract situations where human intuition is required.

In reality, AI and humans work best as partners. For example, in medicine, AI may analyze reports quickly, but the final decision and care come from doctors. In education, AI tools can help in learning, but teachers inspire and guide students. Similarly, in business, AI manages data, but human leaders take strategic decisions.

Therefore, the belief that AI can replace humans is a misconception. AI is powerful, but it can never replicate the creativity, empathy, and moral reasoning of human beings. Instead of fearing replacement, we should focus on using AI to complement human intelligence and build a better future together.

Yes true but definitely jobs opportunities will reduce due to this. Only intelligent, n decision makers can survive in their jobs.

Thankfully it can't eliminate the work of daily wage workers who do physical work.
