Yes why? Im not challenging you, just curious. TjMM and RRPK were also love stories directed at the younger crowd yet saiyaara is outpacing them

we have become too old and buddhey to understand why saiyarra is working...imagine, when we were younger, we also went crazy about young romances and musicals.
its not surprising for me at all..
I went to watch HR's Kites. regret it. there was no story, only kissing scenes. maybe gen z is built different.

i don' think shah fans crying.
neither are RK fans
they both are in safe zone with 50cr plus openers.
its those chindi ones with less than 30 cr openers need to worry about now
TJMM opened at 10 - 15 with very very higher budget, thats the film with the same zone.
comparing it with Student of the year? This is far far bigger than it. with 20 cr + opening at worst it will be super Hit. Biggest debut since Hrithik.

also @nishiji, cant quote you for some reason
these musicals you mentioned starred 35+ year old male leads whom the audience have already fawned over when they were young.. there has been no film in the recent past with hit music and presentation from a big production house with two younglings like this movie...the movie going audience mostly as they say is from 16-24 and they were yearning for a new young hero to drool over and a young heroine to lose their hearts to as they did during ashique 2 or rockstar or even band baja baraat...the mistake the industry was making was to make young romance films with budhao actors...saiyarra clicked because the 16 year olds have got a young chikna to crush on...
@nishiji the young movies u mentioned had horrible actors or music, archies was a poor excuse for an anglo film. nadaaniyan was a trollfest...dhdhak opened well but the leads lacked the charm

They say one rotten apple can spoil the lot, but Saiyaara proved the opposite. In an industry saturated with remakes, safe bets, and that...

this is kind of a big deal for a movie with newcomers and no big names.
