Yes, a nice rendition of the very funny French play Fleur de Cactus (which got - rightly - a very successful Broadway version Cactus Flower, with Lauren Bacall) with a storyline that cries for getting made into a movie I would love (first the Hollywood one with Ingrid Bergman, Walter Matthau and Goldie Hawn, latter getting an Oscar for her role, btw.).

It was a real Dhawan-comedy (and not 'just' a remake but more an adaptation of the main idea, imo)... with 'the Indian mother slapping the males' for their (stupid) behaviour and a lot to laugh about.

Katrina was still at the beginning of her career (after two Hindi movies with Amitji) before getting her first one with Akshay. I found her quite nice in the movie.

It would be interesting to see a compilation of getting-to-the-airport-in-time-scenes where one of the lovers tries to retain the other part of the couple-meant-to-be...

It's a bit long but it's celebration time, right?

Elvis, I'm a cinephile since my fist movie in a theatre I've watched when 6 years old. First a plethora of Western movies, then - because of SRK - immersing myself into the Hindi Cinema expanding it to Indian Cinema. Cactus Flower belongs to my favourite Hollywood ones, so when looking out for Salman movies, I was interested what Dhawan did with this story. smiley2

However, not a l l the movies you make a birthday thread with, I've watched, but some, I have... and wish to contribute to the celebration smiley1

I also grew up to attend theatre plays, btw. (and I love to read plays) ...just to add: 10 years ago, I watched the French play in Paris.

Edit: I can watch two or three movies consecutively (depends on the time) and when I like/love a movie, I do research work which leads me to a lot of interesting things. I've also a vast film library (books and films), starting from silent ones.

They made a the first cactus in 60s\70s and MPKK copied it in 2005. But in 2011 Adam Sandler remade CF himself with Jennifer Aniston. It was called just go with it.

I LOVE the songs of this film, and this film itself is such underrated fun! Such nostalgia from watching this film as a 10-year-old boy in 2005! smiley36

Salman was hilarious in this film, I loved this phase of his! Sushmita is so attractive wearing sarees and in mature roles. And, Katrina had such an innocent charm when she just started acting! 😍
