Plenty happening this morning. The second new ball offered enough help again and India, led by the brilliant Bumrah, made good use of it. Stokes, Root and Woakes were sent packing in quick succession. But this pair has since made some handy runs to take the total past 300. India were left furious when they asked for a ball change and were given a replacement ball that they think is much older than the one they had. Gill seemed to be livid while having a chat with the umpire. Even in this drinks break, he's having an animated chat with the umpires, showing the ball to them and is looking visibly frustrated when his arguments are dismissed. The visitors now get into a huddle and the captain is doing the talking. They'll need to put that ball change behind them.

The ball is not doing as much as it was at the start of the day. But India too seemed to be caught up in that ball change drama. The runs are coming in freely and even Carse is looking unperturbed. They need to pull things together and not allow the game to drift away after such a fine burst by Bumrah.

Gill’s displeasure seems justified!!

The previous ball had swung a whopping 2.6 times more on average than the changed one did in Overs 91-95. The average seam movement has been consistent.

These two batters started scoring now, it is high time to get their wickets.

Nitish Reddy to Jamie Smith, no run, uhhh! That's a nice line and length. Full and outside off, Smith is drawn into the drive away from the body and the ball swings away to beat the outside-edge

Bumrah is warming up or stretching. One or two overs before lunch?

Prajakt: May be balls are getting deshaped early because the pitches have become more dry. Dukes are hand-made and built for typical English conditions.
