One century from England's side and the highlight of the 2nd day's play is Bumrah's bowling!
Lots of pats on the back for Bumrah...before he was asked to lead the team out.
Bumrah has drawn 35.3% false shots today and has figures of 3/25 off those. For the rest of India's seam attack, it reads 24.6% and 0/14.
While Bumrah continued to create chances, India, unfortunately, didn’t hold on to them. Duckett was dropped twice early on and he’d already made 62 before Bumrah castled him during the latter’s second spell. A nervous starter, Pope didn’t invoke assurance early on but settled in nicely as the ball got older and the pitch flatter. He went on to record back-to-back Test hundreds. Bumrah came back to force a false shot off Root and he also got Brook, only to be denied by the no-balls he bowled in the last over. He simply didn’t get enough support from the rest of the bowling attack and that’s meant that England have reached a relative position of comfort at 209/3 at the end of Day 2.
