IF doens't represent theatre going audience, I'll go ahead and say they don't even represent regular movie watching audience , so no conclusion should be made from the comments.
Yes agreed .. Drawing conclusion from IF poll is not a good idea.Most folks over here prefer to watch online long after the movie has come and gone .The ground reality is different.
The problem is Kajol.
Most of kajol's movies post 2010 have been poor. It is like you can categorize her career one prior to 2011 and other 2011 onwards. Her choice of movies, the reception of those movies and her acting- all below par. Not the same kajol who was an ace actor and a star giving multiple good movies with good performances.
She has lost credibility with the audience and you know if kajol is there, something may be a miss..either plot or acting. It has happened so many times..helicopter elaa..tribhanga..salaam venky..and the recent do patti where she was trashed horribly for her acting. You just cannot go first day for a movie riding on someone with this as her recent work.
If the wom is good, it will pick up. But lets see. Again..it is quite a puzzle atm but i will be surprised if it opens well. May be the shaitaan factor might help. Lets see.

wow ..a great analysis..yes her recent choices have been abysmal .But this may meet with a better fate because franchise factor can work here!
I agree with your point of view—her choices post 2011 have been pretty disappointing. Most of her contemporaries aren't very active in films anymore, but the ones who are still around are doing a much better job. Raveena is doing well in web series, and Rani is consistently delivering strong performances along with good box office results.
