Unfortunately - for Aamir - the content doesn't come from him (or a writer he hired)... the content was already given in the Spanish original and in the USA remake. So, I hardly would praise him for the content...still I'm curious how he brings this movie to the Indian audience as it is - indeed - a very good stuff. smiley1

That was about the Gujarat riots (the train incident), right? It was at a time when Indian people freely could speak in a critical way about politics and politicians...but that is gone after 2014... and even what was done or spoken before that time will get held against certain celebs through politically initiated pressure.

We will see what will be done when it is time to release King...

I think that Aamir is the most insecure of the 3 Khans, at least inside. He may get labelled as "perfectionist", but he isn't perfect at all.

i still praise him for content he mostly gives. nothing wrong in making films inspired by foreign movies, as long as you don't ruin it. many indian audience have not seen the spanish or english versions, so its good that someone is making it in hindi . i don't mind. i haven't seen the spanish version yet, i would rather see amir's take, so be it. i remember well even the noise around his ghajini was loud with copy copy copy cat, but seems like most have not seen memento , cos it was not a copy at allsmiley36 inspired, yes, copy no.

if any movie whether inspired or copy...which i hated was guzaarish and the sea inside. tho sea inside was critically acclaimed, ironically sea inside was a spanish movie too. i just did not like the message ...so thumbs down smiley36 and was happy to see guzaarish bombsmiley41aww that was awful one from bhansali.

I have seen the Hollywood version of this movie. It's really bad and boring. I couldn't even finish it. I am shocked he is remaking this. The scenes also look exactly the same in the trailer. The chubby girl also looks exactly like the actor in the English-language one. Strange.

lol, Hindi version of Ghajini was a copy of the South Indian movie Ghajini. The South Indian movie used some parts of Memento and dumbed it down and turned it into a masala movie so if you're being nice, you can call that one inspired. Aamir's version was just a copy of the inspired one. smiley36
