I see what you mean about the disconnect because I feel it too, although not entirely in the same way, I do think the issue isn’t just casting — it’s the writing and direction that’s making the scenes fall flat. Maira might be a decent child actor, but the way they’re scripting her interactions, especially with Abhira, lacks the emotional weight you'd expect between a mother and daughter who were separated for years. There’s no buildup, no layered emotion — just surface-level scenes that feel like fillers rather than the payoff to a painful separation arc.

And honestly, I think the problem lies more in how the show is trying to force relationships instead of earning them. Whether it’s Armaan-Maira or Abhira-Maira, they’re rushing emotional connections without giving us the time or depth to feel them.

The leap could’ve worked if it was used to rebuild Abhira’s life and let her bond with her daughter from a place of real hurt, anger, and growth. But instead, they threw us into this flat emotional landscape and expected us to instantly buy into it. So yeah, let's eat edible chalk together.

Yes I agree, despite of Abhimanyu-Arohi not being married. Their scenes worked nice and the connection between the 3 felt genuine. Here it just feels like Dadu is pressurising for marriage. Also, there Ruhi knew who her real dad was and even saw his pictures and all. Arohi was very transparent and didn’t hide about her real dad. Ruhi knew Poppy is just her uncle and not dad.

AK hid about Abhinav not being real dad. But regardless. The family scenes between the 3 were cute and nice to watch.

Gen 4, Armaan-Maira-Geetanjali just seems forced. So far even Abhira-Anshuman scenes don’t seem forced

Instead, she was busy telling Ruhi to control her emotions, her feelings, her hormones — while she was literally carrying their child.

By the time the baby was born, it was already too late. Abhira had endured too much — the emotional abuse, being made to feel less for not being able to carry a baby, constantly being pushed aside in favor of Armaan’s family. She forgave everything, even the moment he put Pookie’s life at risk. And now? She doesn’t matter to him anymore — because he has what he really wanted all along: his own blood.

Bold-There was no smooth transition shown during that phase of Ar. That's where the writer failed. We all know it was their plan B when trp janta rejected lusty bhabhi. But they could have worked that out in different way. Abhira usually is very smart and understanding. They could have shown her figuring it out and helping him come out of the trauma(the main plot of yrkkh4).

Yes like most of all, even i feels scenes are flat of them. I really thinks 7 years leap not needed. 5 year leap would be decent. Also they needs to cast younger child than this girl playing Maira. Maria seems so grown up.

Also biggest disconnect is we all know that what kaand Ar did.

And yes, unlike gen 3 kasauli family...This Ar-Maria-geetu has no connect at all. Even i skip their scenes. I feel like i only want to see drama happening in Udaypur. Don't want to see Ar even a single minute .

Ofc maira is a kid ..but what arman did to maira is exactly what dadisa and vidya did to him ....considering how he turned out to be , im not betting on maira here....let them bring another legacy girl through abhira and anshuman ..

So she isn’t aware and hence she believes that Armaan is still usse “naraaz” but once she knows she will be naraaz.
