Shibani, I saw you read Riley Sager's Home Before Dark. I also read this novel for April's reading challenge. What are your thoughts about the book? Do you like it?

It's good, I liked it. It reminded me so much of Haunting of Hill House though (it's a series on Netflix)

I know about the Netflix series. It's based on Shirley Jackson's novel, The Haunting of Hill House.

I'm planning to read this novel too because I really liked the other novel I read by this author - Survive The Night. Have you guys read that one?
By Riley Sagar? Which one? I’ve read The House Across the Lake and The Only one left by him. I liked the latter more. I have Middle of the night sitting on my shelf - plan to read that next after I finish my current read.Originally posted by: heavenlybliss

No, I only read a few pages of Survive The Night. That's because those pages were there in the book, Home Before Dark to attract readers. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Home Before Dark. I won't say it's extremely good. Sidney Sheldon's novel Tell Me Your Dreams is definitely better than this novel. Home Before Dark started at a very interesting note and the book seemed really promising to me at the beginning. But the twist wasn't very good at the end and I felt disappointed. If you ask me about rating, I won't give it more than 3 stars our of 5. Still, if you want to read, you can proceed.

I think Hinna tagged you by mistake. She probably wanted to tag Shibani. We (me and Shibani) were talking about Home Before Dark. I want to read The Only One Left because the story seems interesting to me.
