The state I'm from , caste system is totally eliminated anyways. I'm from a Bramhin family and many of my first cousins from both paternal and maternal sides married people of SC/ ST/ OBC castes and they're treated just as any other family member and nobody even bats an eyelash and ours is actually a very conservative family. None of my parents or grandparents believed in caste system and they don't care . All castes visit , drink , eat , attend family functions of each other and enjoy together. That is the norm . Not just at our house . Throughout the state

But the reservation system is getting more and more oppressive each day, reminding us that caste system very much exists.

Like I said ..

Mine is more like what Raj said. I also used to oppose my parents if they ever tried to discriminate with my sc, st friends. Now however even my mom has changed and doesn't discriminate, even without me opposing.

But this caste system will never let the discrimination go. I do feel bad for the discrimination and dejection it is causing for us unreserved castes.
