It is understood that the Indian cricket board doesn't want the league to continue considering the current sentiment of the nation. Additionally, a lot of overseas players from different franchises have started panicking and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) too want to return home from Lucknow - the venue of tonight's match vs Lucknow Super Giants.
The move came a day after the fixture between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala was postponed. The came not long after Pakistan fired eight missiles directed at Satwari, Samba, RS Pura and Arnia and all were intercepted and blocked by air defence units.

Good call by BCCI. There shouldn’t be any risk to players. Any news about when it’ll resume or is this season suspended indefinitely ?

Why on earth they aren't postponing IPL... At present IPL is not necessary everyone's safety matter life matter so many lifes are involved in IPL we have foreign players they should sent them back...
So many tensions are going on providing extra security for IPL will put extra pressure...
