More theatres only makes sense when it would be done in the way SRK mentioned it: favouring small cities, making less expensive theatres (not plush, not expensive foods & beverages) with also less expensive tickets so that local people with low income get more attracted to watch movies again as a social event. Art & Entertainment shared together can be a uniting bond for communities, especially when people don't get the feeling that the filmindustry and theatre owners only 'flirt' with big revenues...
...and also the distributors should lessen their demands so that small theatres could afford to get the movies at the release dates.
