Should ARS be toned down? - Page 2

Yayy...my first poll ever on IF...

I honestly don't want ARS to change ..she cannot.

If she ever, starts to feel anything like affection , she will have a nervous breakdown, and she will hate herself because she must have suppressed the memory of the child to such an extent. To do what she did, needs nerves of steel.

Maybe that will come later or maybe not.

But now that she sees Mannat in front of her, knows she is her daughter, even a teeny tiny bit of reaction as a mother would be interesting, and Mona can pull it off. Yesterday, she went mad, and she always cries in anger when she gets reminded of the daughter she left.

It's like when she watched Mannat with Sunita, she said to herself in surprise, that she is like me...and then she tried to equate Mannat with herself, saying she is after Vikrant for his money. That's all I want.

There are 5 mothers and children shown as of now 3 biological and two that have forged a dil ka Rishta .

ARS does not acknowledge her first born and has obliterated thoughts of her as she thought her chances of survival was zero. Unknowingly little Aman becomes the BKB of the baby girl left to die. Then her Maasi comes looking for her and raises her with a lot of love care and values

The similarity between Mannat and ARS stops with their tenacity and they are so unlike the other. Malla on the other hand has been loved and adored by her family and has got all thay she wished for without a struggle. She has inherited the ability to manipulate others from her mom and seems to be obsessed with her material comforts and sense of entitlement.

She seems to be totally self absorbed and has no care or understanding of the feelings of others.

ARS may have borne two girls but they are starkly different as chalk and cheese mainly due to the upbringing and lifes circumstances.

Both the girls evoke in ARS contrasting feelings and emotions. Malla is all that she yearned for went after and achieved in life. Mannat represents the past she wishes never existed and has erased by giving herself a new identity. Every time she sees her she is reminded of the Sonia Khanna she flushed out of her life

She is a character so akin to Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde... She is resented by all other than Malla and her Taklu Dadu i doubt if anyone cares for ARS. She has lost her desirability aspect and is a truly dreaded creature.

Honestly, she’s an awful human, but no because she’s the main villain so I want the extra masala! Mona is fab and entertaining

Unpopular opinion but I think it’s better they keep her completely vile ckt. Talking from Mannat’s previous life experience, ITV writers don’t know how to handle a morally grey ckt w/o turning it completely vile and then playing sad music to highlight what a dukhiyaari/haalat ki maari bechari that vamp is and in the process making a complete joke out of leads!

Imagine playing “lukka chuppi bahut hai” song for ARS after she committed that freezer wala kaand. Usse to better hai they’re showing what a filthy individual she is!

Hmmm…. That’s a good question to ponder!

ARS has zero emotions for Mannat, the only emotion she has for her is as clearly as she told “shrap”. She has some deep rooted hatred for Mannat. We can only wait for the reason.

Only time I saw ARS show a sliver of emotion was when Mannat declared she was glad she was not her mother, that too because how dare she rejected ARS.

Tone down… well I think she has already crossed all narcissistic lines after how she kept removing everything that comes in between her and her success/business/hyped up social status….She is downright ruthless… there is nothing to tone down.

They have shown how much she loves Malla but that too when it comes to her happiness is she selecting that perhaps not she is making a business deal throwing Malla forcefully to Vikrant. She has no love, it’s all money and business deal, she is ready to put Malla into a loveless marriage if she can keep the status and money. If she is can’t love Malla then Mannat ki kya hasiyaat?!

My fav dialogue and what I look for from ARS these days, acknowledgement of Mannat.. " Bas, tumhi ho meri beti, voh nahi."Malla asks her "voh? ", causing a flutter in ARS. This much reaction enough for me.

Plus, the extreme irritation and anger when Gagan tells her Mannat's mom has brought her up so well.

this one is wicked, but can’t help but laugh at the comparison
