They are already showing us the Nagpur traffic. Might as well start showing us Nagpur sunrise, sunset, moonrise and of course, most importantly Leena's kalesh in those 50 minutes.

On a serious note, the cast and crew is going to get overworked. Probably a dip in TRPs also due to slow paced or reaction filled episodes. Not sure, though.

As much as I've heard during the last gen also it happened and trp did drop, however star is most probably using ghum to revive the 7pm viewership which was lost due to iss ishq ka rab rakha and once I guess the slot stabilises they would launch the new show

So is it going to compete both "Clouds will fall" and "FairyEthics"?

Sitara is too capitalistic and honestly, stupid to use Ghum to revive the slot and then give it to a show that may or may not work. Ghum is already struggling. This puts undue pressure on it. The new show doesn't seem extraordinary to me. It also has a long and weird name.

No, pocket mein Aasmaan will compete with clouds will fall, and ghum would be competing with parineeti and meri bhavya life (show which will replace megha barsenge) , I don't think so sitara is gonna put ghum in the trp race when it shifts the time slot. Also the biggest reason they are doing this is ghum has good viewership (even when iss ishq failed) the sat-sun episodes bring the overall trp down (as in feb we had all the india matches on Sunday and now IPL). Ig the new show will get decent trp if not good because the lead actor is quite famous

Alsoo just to tell you because people think that ghum will shift to 7pm that's is not gonna happen. When ghum was shifted to 7:50 slot star still promoted it at being 8pm and since it was airing just for 20 minutes it kinda was bad for ghum. Here however is opposite, ghum is never gonna get to the 7pm slot. Heck star won't even promote it airing at 7:10, they will continue promoting it at 7:30 slot and when viewers would realise that they had lost 20 minutes of the show, they would start tuning at 7pm building a viewership for the 7pm slot which iss ishq show ruined. And once that happens star is gonna launch the new show and ghum would be back to 7:30 (20 minutes of the show)

Oh there's a new show coming up on Colors? Hmm. But well, does TRP actually depend on actors' popularity? There are examples on Colors itself. The lead actors of 2 shows there were the leads in Ghum Season 1 which is considered quite popular. Both the shows have low ratings. And Clouds will fall is the slot leader, why are they shifting that? To revive the previous slot? What on earth!

@Bold: Very bold of you to assume that. I do believe it's a blessing or a curse in disguise for Ghum. Blessing because if what you say is correct (hopefully), Ghum gets a headstart for bringing in tracks that draw TRP audience. Curse as viewers get exhausted quite easily, so even after coming back to the normal slot, it might have an irregular audience by then due to the confusion caused by these weird timings (7:10 seriously?) It has already confused the loyal base it once had, it might go down further (hopefully not).

Why does Star have such complicated marketing and TRP drawing mechanisms? Does it really want the audience to do these mental gymnastics and logical reasoning before watching one of their senseless shows?

I believe ghum was in danger when it was airing a 15 minute episode even then they managed to have a 1.4-1.5 trp. Alsoo the trps for all star shows esp ghum is gonna go too haywire because maati, iss ishq ans even pocket mein aasman brought down the 6:30-8pm slot below 1 for star. Only ghum has managed to be above 1 after all this shithousery

Star did a lot of mental gymnastics when they off aired their already good running shoes DKTPH (at 6:30 got around 1.2-1.4) trp and now pocket mein aasman at the same slot is getting 0.6 same with iss ishq and all so now they are slot leaders only for the prime time (7:30 also because of ghum). They are too capitalistic for that. So they're not trying to risk the 7pm slot for the new show and ghum is their golden goose rn
